Hi All,
I've had an EVE account since the beginning of the year (started with a free 1 month trial thing) but never actually did anything with it.

After watching the new Star Trek it seemed to really make me want to play this game and get a lot more involved.

I'm not sure I really have a question to be answered but there's no 'Newbie Introduction' forum section Smile

But anyway, if there's anyone looking for a new space friend on EVE and they're not too fussed if that person is a bit of a noob looking to find there feet, give me a shout! Cool

All the best out there,
Jimmy.

Hi mate,

first i'd say there are loads of people that will offer you the world if you go post in the recruitment forum. but the important thing is to work out what your plans are for EVE. figure that out first then find a corp that can help you pursue it.

I'd like to offer myself as someone you can ask questions to etc, i've been playing since 06 now and i have seen and done most of what there is to offer in EVE. So if anything comes to mind shoot me a mail.

Also my corp (see my info) does train new pilots and we have no eliteist restrictions. as a part of that we have a public channel you can join where myself and some of my corp mates will be and they will be just as happy to help you make a good start :). There are also loads of cool people that train new guys like EVE-uni they are well worth checking out.

If your interested join "Spamalot." (don't forget the full stop) and hopefully i'll see you around.

like i said before any questions, just ask

Eve University is worth checking out. As a new player, you can do something but you can't do everything yet, you don't have enough skill points.

Also, only fly what you can afford to lose and don't trust people with your stuff and money.

Welcome and good luck in your Eve career Big smile

Main thing to remember is that if you can't afford to lose a ship then don't fly it (don't forget to factor in the costs of the modules as well)

Hey Jimmy welcome to EVE.

I hope you have "thick skin" trained to at least 4 and "patience" to 5 because you're going to need it! Feel free to add me to your contact list and when I'm online I will try and answer any questions you may have. Good job on picking Caldari, all glory to the State o7.

I myself am not new but this is a new character who can't fly ♥♥♥♥ yet. I'm also Caldari and will be getting some Gallente in their too! So if you want to fly with someone who has similar skills, give me a shout. Though I literally can't fly a damn thing at the minute haha. In a week or so I will be dropping in to my more combat related skills so maybe then!

Thank for all the welcome messages, hopefully I'll see you out there some time!

Contacts added for those who kindly offered.

I'll be sure to check out the EVE Uni sometime soon.

And most importantly, I won't fly what I can't afford!... That seems to be a recurring message I see when looking around, I think I'll keep it in mind Smile

Jimmy.
