Want to form a fleet with my buddy, who is in my address book with excellent standings (and vice versa). CCP wants me to pay the CSPA service charge. OMGWTFBBQ!!! Since when this nonsense???

Since Always, tell your friend to turn off his CSPA charges, mail settings top right corner of the mail window.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

This.

/Thread.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Did not happen before. The CSPA charges apply to unknown toons. Should not apply to toons who are in my address book afaik.

Yes, and Oceania was at war with Eurasia.

I've invited my buddy to a fleet a lot of times, never had to pay a CSPA charge. This is new. Bug or feature?

It's a fine levied against terrible miners like you. Have your friend remove their CISPA charge and that should correct the issue.

CCP has no sense of humour.

We're both in eachothers address books, both with excellent standings. CSPA should not be levied imho.

I would agree that it should be that way, but unfortunately it isn't. Check with your buddy if he recently reinstalled his OS or EVE for that matter he might have not changed his settings to 0.00 the CSPA charge.

I just tried this same thing with characters in different corps to test it out and there is no CSPA charge. All I can say is you could try removing and adding them back to addressbook and resetting the standings to see if it clears things. Maybe even clearing cache and relogging if nothing else works.

Thanks Goldiiee!

There is a CSPA charge set, and this is for good reason. The CSPA amount was not changed, the OS and EVE installs were also not changed. Maybe something happened after the last patch? Nobody else had this problem?

That's Eastasia. Big Brother is less than pleased.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Ask yourself this...are you sure you are in your buddies contact list? The charge would be applied to you if he/she/it didnt have you as a contact.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Maybe your buddy set up a CSPA charge. Maybe you did.

Either way, instead of fixing it, you're wasting this universe's resources with a stupid question. Please stop.

How romantic.

Also tell him to disable CSPA charge?
