Training missions accident (stupidity).

I'm just doing the training missions now and despite the warnings still managed to cancel the exploration missions. So now I (obviouslyOops) can't access them. Is there anyway to get these back? Or do I just have to take this as a hard lesson.
Also is there any simple guides to ease people into the social aspect of the game, I want to join in but feel rather overawed at the complexity of things.

You can try and petition it but on regular missions unlikely to happen ccp is nice on tutorials.

A petition is the easiest solution - however barring that, you can fly to any other starter system and do them all over again. You can google-up a list of them.

Time for your first excursion!

You can use the agent at any of the other training systems.

In Caldari space they are at :

Uitra, Akiainavas and Jouvulen.

Look them up on the map and head out to the nearest.

But in general a petiton to CCP will make them unlock it again as CCP doesnt like it when new players are getting upset that early in the game.

Keep in mind though, this is likely only done in tutorial missions. Later on CCP expects you to stand on your own two feet.

Petition it, GMs will reset it for you, usually very quickly.

You're not restricted to doing the tutorial missions for your own faction, you can also do them for the other 3 if you wish to, it may be boring doing the same missions umpteen times (welcome to missioning), but the free ships and skill books can be sold to give you a nice nest egg to start playing with. You'll also get to see the other areas of empire in all their splendour, some areas of space make for great eye candy, and all of the different racial ships as you travel around empire space to get to the agents.

Yeah remember there's 12 copies of the starter missions.

I blew someone up in a destroyer in highsec the other day then realised (while researching how much to ransom their pod for) that they were a 1 day old character. Oops. So I told them that they could replace their lost Catalyst by running the Advanced Military tutorial in one of the other two Gallente systems, as 1100k ISK is a lot to lose as a newbie.
