Best Ship for Angel Rats

Hi Guys,

I have just moved to angel space and was wondering the best ship to rat and run anoms in was.
I have previously run in tengus but anything else?

Tengu works fine too. Kinetic is the second lowest resistens. Because the BS come close, you can even use the HAMgu.

For some task the Tornado also works. Or the Tyhpoon after the patch. And loki or sleip also has its niche.

But Machariel will still be king* for ISK/h.
Sentry carrier might be better.

* or at least in the top 3.

If you are running anoms in the relative safety of SOV space a sentry carrier is the best. 3 x drone damage amps, 2 omni's and 13 T2 sentries make light work of anything. Just remember to war in at range and fit a drone link aug or 2. Otherwise a mach is the next best thing for angels. Maelstrom works but its slow and if you fit ary's you not going to pop all the frigs as they come in before they to close.

The AC Mael is borderline crappy right now with a lot of angel BS orbiting at over 30km. On 6/4 when the tracking enhancer nerf hits its going to be awful. Get a Mach.

Depends on if your in low or null. Null the mach is the way to go. In low I find there are a lot more options. The only sites that spawn in low are 4-5 of 10s and angel mineral sites. The rest are a crap shoot. You can use most any t3, nado or domi even. Problem is low tends to see you hunted a lot more so having a fancy faction BS will pull pirates from 5 systems away. Personally I use a tengu or a prot so they can fit covert ops then switch out at stations. There are other options but there slow.

I know some don't like it, but a sentry carrier is the most efficient ship to farm Angel anomalies in.

Costs less than a fitted Mach with comparable performance (1.1K to 1.4K DPS depending on fit). With an overheated MWD, you go from 0M/sec to warp in 10 seconds and bouncers are boss sentries.

just fit 3x omni, 4x DDA, 4 DCU,1 Link augmentor and a 100MN MWD (preheat it) and you get about 1.3K dps with 90KM optimals and can warpout in 10 seconds. I you're doing it right you'll one volley the Battlecruisers and 2 volley Elite cruisers.

With a second account salvaging behind you, you can make about 160-200M in ISK and Loot per hour (110-120 in Isk, 60-80M in loot and salvage) farming either Forsaken Hubs or Havens not counting Domi spawns or escalations.

Maelstrom is so damn cheap and easy to set up compared to the others. Mach is obviously the fastest, Bouncer II spamming carrier is also quite nasty but a massive gank bait. A Tengu can do well with HAMS.

EVE online is the fishermans friend of MMO's. If it's too hard you are too weak.

I love the maelstrom too, but it's really hard to do better than a Mach (with tech2 ammo and 4 bouncer IIs). It's insane, i've gotten my highest (non-faction spawn) bounty tick ever in a mach doing angel forsaken hubs. 53 mil. That's even better than the 50.5 mil tick i pulled off with a Vindicator doing Serp forsaken hubs.

HAM legion is much better than the tengu for angel ratting. Its resist are perfect for angels and you can 1 slot, t2 tank forsaken hubs easily. and not being tied down to kinetic, nova missiles are much nicer, not to mention, you will stand out in a crowd of sheeple :)

the rattlesnake outperforms the tengu by a long shot in the null anomalies (haven and sanctums) if you want to run them solo.
Go in at like 70k, drop sentries, make sure the frigs are killed first then just wait and collect money.
And no for some reason they hardly ever target ur sentries.
