Ran a 10/10 for the third time today with the same fit ive always used

Tengu
His

6 HML
Improved cloak

MEDS

Pithum C-type Med booster
Caldari Navy shield amp
Dread guristas Invuln
Corelum C-type AB
Pith-x type Explosive deflection field

Lows

Caldari navy BCUs x 4

SUBS

Cpu gate
adaptive shielding
augmented cap res
accelerated eject bay
intercalated nanofibers

Also Perfect Off grid siege boosts...

Shield rep rate was 199 every 1.9 seconds

After finishing the first 4 rooms i warped into the last room as always and the Overseer didn't hit me with a special as he always does... About a minute and some change later after i had killed the stasis towers (which were not webbing me ) he 1 hit blapped me from full shield? Oddly enough I had ran this site the day before and he usually only hit for 30-40% of my shield which i quickly repped

I went into my logs and found the killing hit
9488 The Antimatter Channeler - Wrecks

and here he is hitting me from not only a day before....

2061 The Antimatter Channeler - Penetrates

Not really understanding why his damage went from being what i calculated (about 2k)

to 9k? nearly his full damage?

Link to NPC :

Aparently he deals 12.5k Omni

How my shiny tengu take such damage this time and not last time?

also i had to edit the logs to take out html...

You were probably not at full AB speed and at very low transversal.

even if i were setting at 0 his top damage is 12.5k

With 3 resists at 90+ and em at 55 how would he possibly hit 9k?

also if it counts for anything i do believe i was abing at full speed...

That's your answer already.
You were just lucky to not get hitted for wrecking shots before. A DCII could have saved your day maybe?Big smile

I can't wait for all the Forum screaming when CCP removes this exploit. Yeah yeah, it's not really an exploit because CCP didn't make the mechanic so it HAD to be on-grid, but they are soon. It's gonna be ultra satisfying to know fewer and fewer players will be able to multi-box SOLO the MMORPG that is Eve Online in their stupidly expensive Deadspace fit ships. That and the incoming nerf to kick T3 out of DeD 3/4's will be so much the better.

To the OP, I know your post wasn't a crying flame of CCP's mechanics and you probably have more than enough ISK to replace your ship so my topic wasn't slated directly at you. There are however far too many players who fit such ships and cry and complain when anything happens to said ships like it's CCP's sole responsibility to protect them from all harm while they Solo Eve, lol.

The Operative: "There are a lot of innocent people being killed in the air right now".

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: "You have no idea how true that is".

Could you explain how these work?

I thought that just explained how well you were getting hit?

Let me do some quick math..
Em EXP KIN THE
2,500 5,000 2,500 2,500
55% 93% 90% 94%

1125 + 350 + 250 + 150= 1875 Damage a bit over 1/3 of my shield

So does a low signature radius AMPLIFY his raw damage before resists? or does it simply determine what % of the resisted damage you are hit with?

Ah yes, I also do not agree with off grid boosts. That however is not enough to deter me from using them. I will not be put at a disadvantage because I disagree with something.

Wrecking Hits have a 3X Multiplier on them as far as I know. So he was doing 37k damage to you.

Yeah, too many people look at the EFT numbers and forget that when dealing with turrets, those numbers are variable; that goes for the rats as well as player ships. If the rat hit you in the resistance hole and punched through your buffer in between shield cycles...

Yeah I actually didn't realise that attack is considered a turret... The eve wiki makes it look alot more like a smartbomb attack

m

They ay very well change this one day.. But guess what it isnt gonna be anytime soon because they are going to have to completely rework the bonus system as anything else will fully break the rorquel..

Soo whine more off grid booster tears whine

And for the record.. Eve is a sandbox.. They let you play it how you want.. they will never change a mechanic that stops you from solo play.. and again

Tear tear whine more

So just for the record, kingchip randchip / OP was sitting still so the wrecking shot hit him for full damage? Or was it some kind of "magic" omni thing that always hits for full effect?

And what has DeLindsay post today with anything at all in this thread?

I remember getting wrecking hit from minmatar plex rats while doing 6km/s in malediction (was quite target painter spam though), so Id say you dont have to be sitting still to get hit by "wrecking" shot.Big smile

But will it still apply full damage?
And i am not talking about turrets in general, i am talking about this specific attack from this specific rat.

Is it possible you just happened to be TP'd more than usual? As said above, a DC2 while it only helps your shields slightly it will save you at times like this with its small armor and big structure buffer it provides. Any site I run in my tengu where my shields drop occasionally below 50% I will replace the 4th BCU with a DC2 because you never know when you going to make a small mistake that will cost you. But I am a care bear Lol

The damage from a turret hit doesn't care about tracking, tracking affects the probability of a regular hit. Wrecking hits are not normal hits, so when you AB well beyond the tracking speed you should eventually only see misses interspersed with infrequent wrecking hits.

Its a 1 in 100 chance of receiving a wrecker from a player, so I presume the OP has done the encounter enough times to have sampled the 80+ shots that give the NPC a good cumulative chance of shooting a wrecker.

He has insane tracking.. althowe i don't believe he has a hi chance to do a "wrecking" shot...it does triple his damage.. If you cant tank a 37k omni shot then he will blap you...

and no i was burning at 600 m/s with a deadspace tengu and a skirmish boost to lower sig radius....

So don't think it wont happen if you keep transversal
