Dust has its own cluster of servers handling the proccesing.
Even though EVE and Dust are connected, they are not sharing processing power.
They're of equal strength BTW

A weird note:
They have a third unused cluster of equal strength.
Some people say its for the PS4 version of Dust514 coming Soon(tm)
I think its for WoD.

CCP is still mucking about with WoD? Oh. (No, I don't pay much mind to vampireville, sorry)

I used to connect wirelessly to my router and got frequent socket closed messages. I switched to ethernet. Haven't had one since.

I use a cable as well to my router instead of wireless and I have no issues anymore, what I used to get was the game grinding slowly to a halt and becoming jittery. Now I make it a point to switch my router off and go make a coffee or something once a week and no problems...I'm on BT Infinity btw.

Very simply, the issue lies completely outwith CCP's control - it's either your ISP or some other infrastructure between you and TQ. Once CCP has identified the culprit, they can complain / ask nicely for the issue to be fixed, but that's about it.

@ the OP: My connection is just fine.

It must be you. Maybe CCP secretly hates you?

A problem you were hoping was behind you...

Hmm...

If it is the same problem, do what you did last time to cure it.

I want CCP to reimburse me for 8 hours of game play from yesterday. I got disconnected from the eve servers on all my accounts.

Just because I lost power due to a thunder storm shouldn't let CCP off the hook. I deserve to be refunded for my missed gameplay.

Whilst we're at it - How about those seven or so hours when I was sleeping? Pay me, CCP!

Well, stop using CommieCast as an ISP, and you should see a bit of normality return (Comcast hates EVE, for some reason)

I asked because ever since launch day I haven't been able to play Dust at all. It just will not connect.

I played the Beta lots, with not a single disconnect. But then official launch day rolls up and, pfft, dead.

It's a bit doubtful that your TS 3 server is located in the same geographic area as the EvE server. Smile

Just sayin'.
