Would be even cooler if there was a clone birth animation, instead of just appearing in your captains quarters, fully clothed.

And instead of a loading bar you'll have the level of clone vat fluid that gets flushed.

Yes, you are supposed to see your frozen corpe in that scene.
Could you try it again, and if it doesn't work, file a bugreport from within the client... I'm wondering if it has anything to do with graphics settings or something like that.
Thanks Smile

Will do as soon as I get home. I've got everything on max.

Looks good, would it be possible to have some form of neural brainwave transference scene also for the players mind being flung through space through some form of electronic warp tunnel effect (think borderlands 1/2 death to reanimation scene) to give the player a feel of them being torn from one body and being transferred though cyber space to the new clone including a clone animation birth cinematic (optional obviously for those who don't want to waste time)?

Ok it worked for me now, haven't changed anything on my system.. strange. I did notice however that the zoom on the corpse is a little too close, as the rotation of it will actually clip the viewport of the camera resulting in feet disappearing. :)

Also, loving the new Enigma

It'd be nice if having the Captains Quarters activated played a similar video after being podded, as a small perk for actually having that crap on in the first place, especially since it still takes a bit to load. If players want faster dead-then-in-new-pod, they can just shut off Captains Quarters... which they no doubt have.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

This doesn't achieve the goal of immersion to me at all. Yeah it's kind of cool to see my corpse floating out in space, but it would be much more immersiive to have some sort of confused zoom through a channel of data and consciousness, then a static-y initialization of a new camera zooming out from your pod in the dock.

agreed

Well, as soon as you are podded, you are actually moved from the grid to the station and if we want to mess with that, a whole lot of work needs to be put into changing that. Not saying it's not possible, just requires a lot of work and time.

Our pod death scene now is just a snapshot of the scene you died in. It's not updated, since you have lost all connection to the grid, but we feel it achieves the goal of showing you that you just died Smile

Well, if you are allowed the resources to develop this change sometime in the future, it would make the transition an outstanding scene.
I'd really like to see it happen. Big smile

It does look very cool, no denying that.

Does seem a little off though, lore-wise. The transfer is supposed to be instantaneous on death; you wouldn't be able to sit there with your camera drones checking your dead self out surely.

Still, looks good and all that

agreed that, while it looks good, a "birth" scene would have been more inline with what is supposed to happen, a VAT bay flushing and a zoom on a "blank & generic" clone face suddenly awaking would do (witha little eletric shock to "activate him"), and this cutscene could be fast enought so it doesn't matter having it if you need to go back on field ASAP

a bit like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZPCiqBLPM8&feature=youtu.be&t=2m25s but at the end, a "pod" is moved inside station (from another section of the very same station

I think Death should have consequences, but I think that you guys should reduce the clone price ( since dust clones are really cheep.) But you should increase the time between getting poded and returning to life. Make it a 1 minute penalty, with all kinds of nice animations that you guys can make : )
