Like world + dog, I've been reading through the changes in the supply of ice and high end ores. I've looked at the markets for the region of space I'm in and ice has been rising over the past few days. I'm really inexperienced at stuff like this but I was wondering whether it was worthwhile investing say 200 mil in raw ice. Do you think the price is likely to rise further?

Yes.

Perhaps slowly at times, as stockpiles are gradually consumed, but yes.

I'd say you would probably profit from it, but hardly a vast profit. Many have already got solid profits from buying white glaze around 100k/unit.

Also, those 200m could probably be better used in trading rather than buying ice and waiting what is likely to be monts for it to be valuable enough.

Not more than 10% IMO.

I'ts too late to jump into Ice speculation. Most investors bought tons when Ice was ~100k ISK / Unit.

Check yourself what is going on on Ice belts at the moment. Ice supplies being mined will last for 1-2 years from now, why? cuz all ppl are mining it now!

There will be huge ICE price drop as soon as miners will try to cash out their stocks.
I'm expecting Ice blocks to drop again to ~100k ISK level shortly after Odyssey deployment for a bit of time proportional to Ice reserves mined now.

I'd say if you were talking about a few billion in otherwise idle ISK, go ahead, but 200m? You'd be better off just station trading with it. You can turn that over several times before you'd realize any decent gain from ice speculation. Especially since you're so late to the game.
