The flight recorder revealed that, as the ship was about to be destroyed above Caldari Prime, Admiral Yanala disabled all volatile systems on board, including the heavily damaged propulsion system, rendering them completely inert before the ship broke apart in orbit. Additionally, the doomsday device had been taken offline several minutes before, preventing it from firing but also preventing it from entering an active cooldown phase.

Yesterday SSTG Ballistica was dispatched to review some of the damage per an ongoing investigation.

The damage is MASSIVE up close. Here are pictures taken at the "Edge of space".

From 30 KM altitude the damage goes beyond the horizon.

I think years from now this will still be a graveyard.

Curious to hear what the data recorder contains. If I recall correctly, it'll record the specific orders issued from high-up to the Shiigeru's command. Ah, to be a fly on that wall...

I don't think that the flagship could be receiving any orders during that battle, unless there were several fleets that needed to be coordinated. I think it would be much more interesting to see how many actual times oblivion was fired and at what targets.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

There will be a lot of dead bodies before we ever learn the truth.

If the CEP and CalNav are indeed moving against Heth, I strongly suspect that this investigation's results will be publicized at least in part to discredit the Executor before a direct action.
