Since ship cant be produced and is getting destroyed/lost/gambled/sold.... largely i am fine with it..idea sneak in to my mind it would be kinda cool to get gnosis as final reward from sister arc for killing Dagan?

Like sister Arnon reverse engineered ship blah blah and it is yours the very thing Dagan molested you with..imagine new players excitement (it is frikin BC after all) and opportunity to earn some hefty isk if they choose to sell their prize ?

Would it be overkill getting 4 gnosis per year if you like farm sister arc?

Is this no no my collectables zone?

Any way just a thought.

Every active account got one and everyone who bought the collector's edition got a 5-run BPC (although it remains to be seen how many will actually build all of those). There are plenty to go around, just buy a bunch now while the prices are low and stockpile them in case you lose them. I did the same thing with the Sarum Magnate; they're so cheap I can be in fantastic-looking ninja-salvaging ships for years.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Maybe in a few years they will be rare, but for any foreseeable future there is mote then plenty of Gnosis to be blown up with no one caring ...

Remember the Primae?
It was so popular the Noctis was born.

They were looking for a dedicated salvage ship you see.

Now, if there was a big push for a dedicated exploration ship....

Ah forget it the thing looks like something you'd find in a S&M toybox

(apologies to the developers - I speak of the general concept of the design not this particular ship design)

If we are ever to have dedicated exploration ships, I think Nova Fox had the best ideas.

Admittedly the changes they made to the Cyclone have turned it into an exploration ship but we should keep quiet about that.

We discussed this a while back in the live events channel before release, there were a few people on who wanted to fly the Gnosis for events/PvP but were afraid it would become a hangar sitter like many other special edition ships without some means of maintaining supply.

Simply giving one to everyone who completed the arc was considered too much - its a lot of potential ISK to be throwing out to every newbie - even if the supply drives the price down to build cost levels...
A potential BPC drop from Dagan himself was discussed - a la Revenent - or perhaps a potential drop from Dagan which the Sisters could produce a BPC from, perhaps through something like the Invention mechanic.
The option most preferred IIRC was simply to place the Gnosis in the Sisters LP Store however, their salvage crews recovering bits of Dagan's ship and reverse engineering a Gnosis from them...

Gnosises (Gnosi?) do have other sources, Isn't one of the rewards for the collectors edition a Gnosis BPC?

I think a Gnosis/BC hull in general is too much for killing Dagan, especially at such a young character age. A lot of newer players will get into it and lose it straight away. Plus it'll only reinforce the idea that bigger = better, so they'll try train for the BC without even having proper basic frig/dessy skills.

I saw this coming when it got added.

By the time all the BPC's are depleted, the Gnosis will be the only ship new people will need. Welcome to the decade of the Gnosis folks.

There are FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND gnosi alive today, and more will come when the collector edition launches.

Six hundred have died so far.

We really will have no issue with the supply for the next 10-20 years at this rate.

I am so so with you here

I have few of these ships and will spend one in PVP i have one fitted for PVE and after that i will have no desire to do anything else with the ship...it simply aint much of a BC.

Let them sit in it and lose it lesion learned and they can try again in 3 months.smarter ones will have chunk of isk in a bank overcoming real issue new players have at young age have isk pool that can sustain few loses and misbehaves and they earned it not purchased it from ccp site and that's huge yes?

And while Gnosis supply is ok and will get better with bpc it isn't doing what it should = boosting newb army thrive?

Last pilot i helped was like in local "help anybody kill Dagan"..ii said fleet me and when i warped to him i landed some 150k from them i burned closer to see situation of pilot Prophesy in ~20% armor and slowly losing it and Dagan in 20% shield and slowly gating it back.It was death dance lasting a long time..we kill it and he was like "mina are best pilot in every space" until i hit gate out of system.

So it was clearly a struggle for him and i think reward will not be OP..further more hi was already in BC sucking as expected but new ppl join this game to fly space ships and do what they like not to fly frigate to tackle something for somebody..

That's a mighty unrealistic and big assumption you are making there. Nearly everyone who starts playing Eve, left to their own devices, wants to get into something 'bigger and better', preferably bigger, as soon as possible. This would further promote that problem, as Braxus says. You seem to give players far too much credit, and declare that the 'reasonable alternative' for players who don't try to go after ship classes that the game would throw into their hands, instead of what is appropriate for their skills is to quit playing Eve.

Sounds to me like you don't actually want new players coming to Eve.

No, way too much reward for a hi-sec mission...
