If anyone ever gets difficulties here is a useful tip/work around:

Knowing that Sisi runs in a command shell you can use this to bypass the launcher

Goto »D:\Sisi\bin\ExeFile.exe

Make new short-cut to it,

open the properties of the short-cut and modify thus,

D:\Sisi\bin\ExeFile.exe server:singularity

save, now eve will open straight from the command shell.

DO NOT CLOSE THE CMD WINDOW that will launch Sisi, its usually hidden, close it and Sisi will terminate

Can you provide any logs? The launcher should make some that can be found in the launcher\cache folder.

Whilst I appreciate your attempt at helping I can tell you straight away that your solution won't work. For one thing the command you specify is invalid. It should be /server:singularity (note the forward slash).

Have you tried it...
THOUGHT NOT

your are launching from a CMD shell, it works, i just launched from it, try the /server and it will not save as a shortcut.

can i expect an public apology in the thread?

I just tried this on my Singularity client. If I start up ExeFile.exe it will attempt to connect to Singularity because that's what the setting for default server is in the start.ini that you can find in the root of the game installation. I then attempted to direct it to a different server, in this case Tranquility and did ExeFile.exe server:tranquility and the client started up and wanted to connect to Singularity, once more.

But the use of the ExeFile bypasses the launcher, the EveFile will refuse a modified start.ini.

The idea is to totally bypass the launcher which was the cause of the grief, and yes your correct the server:xxx does not need to be added to the EveFile.exe shortcut, i was being over zealous and quite frankly stupid as forgot about start.ini.
adding the server:xx line to the shortcut just keeps the cmd box open, without it EvEFile will just launch to start screen and the CMD box invisibly in the background

Hey again,

ye its working as Brainless says. I just followed all the steps and its working for now. It just resetted all my settings and the Concole is always open in Background now which sucks a bit with 2 accounts.

Any other ideas how to fix that?

Ok I fixed it myself. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity <----- just followed the steps from this site.

Still thx for your help everyone ;)

Mine got borked too. Fixed it now.

Seems that we'll no longer have an expansion splash screen as the game opens directly to the character page.

I hope this will change??
