Should the forum name be changed to Mac?

After some fast and loose Googling I believe that the Macintosh name was officially shortened to Mac sometime around 1997. Can we get the named of this forum thread changed to match? Macintosh sounds so... 1997.

Let's see a show of hands from those that agree.

According to their guidelines Macintosh or Mac would be equally acceptable. I would prefer "Mac OS" because we're talking about the OS not the computer P.

No, it is Mac OS X. Mac OS sounds so... last century. And you're right, Macintosh sounds like a Windoze user naming the channel.

Technically it should just be called OS X, as this is about the operating system, not the hardware. However, unlike both Windows or Linux, which are not designed within legal remit to work on specifically designed hardware as is the case with OS X, I feel Macintosh fruitfully represents the overall platform as a whole.

Oh and we used a little officer mods. KIDDING! We used a lot of officers mods, A LOT! Because we don’t :censored: around in low-sec.

Only if CCP gets off their arses and hires some real OS X devs to code a proper client for our OS instead of sticking us with a bastardized cedega port of the game.
