Basically heard someone say this in a in-game channel the other day. No one in that chat channel could find anything on it so I just wanted to ask here if anyone knows if this is true or not? I really want to know if this is true or not.

Also sorry if this has been asked before or whatever, quick google didn't find me anything.

Nobody from CCP has said anything about this ability so unless CCP says it is changing then assume it is rumor and not changing.

Now imagine docking ports are limited, hangar sizes are limited and what ships can dock are restricted, depending on the station. Then players can invest in the station and build extensions and gain a percentage of tax income from the station, depending on the amount they invested. And if facilities are not maintained, they deteriorate over time and need to be rebuild if left alone for too long or just renovated.

Imagine reserved facilities and expanded hangars for players with high corporation standing and the ability to invest LPs to increase those reserved facilities for yourself or establishing a whole section for your corporation/alliance with the logo displayed outside so everybody can see xxx corp lives here, your taxes go to us.

Imagine station structures representing their size in space, growing and shrinking as the tides ebb and flow, new sections being under construction or abandoned facilities falling to decay. Think of the trade hubs and the size of those stations!

Ten years! That's where I want to be in ten years!

Heard a rumor, no one could find any supporting evidence of rumor, posts in GD about rumor.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Then you get people complaining about the rumor, others crying foul and swearing at CCP and two to five copycat threads spinning the rumor in different dimensions and THAT´s a regular day in GD.

Some guy that escaped rancer in his pod has a friend who's dog told me that only 10 caps can dock in an outpost.

Mimitard ones allow more, but really the 11th one in kicks the 1st one out!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

CCP has been thinking in the other direction actually. There are a lot of capital threads in F&I that talk about the possibility of allowing Supercarriers and Titans to "dock" at outposts by "mooring" up to them and linking to one of X number of slots. The slots would be rented, but then the ship would be as secure as the station. if the station fell to an enemy all moored ships would become dislodged. That was the idea anyway, and some of the devs were favorable in their view... but technical difficulties may remain. That said, I think if they were going to disallow cap docking at stations there would be a zillion post threadnought stuck to the top of GD about it...

Exerpt from http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/74807:

Removing the sovereignty requirement from Capital Ship Maintenance Arrays
Clarification: This change affects Capital Ship Maintenance Arrays, not the Capital Ship Assembly Array that is used to build supercapital ships. CSAAs are not being changed. This change does not in any way allow supercapital ships to be constructed in lowsec or wormholes.

Capital Ship Maintenance Arrays are giant SMAs that are currently can only be anchored in space that has been upgraded for supercapital construction. In order to reduce the number of SMAs needed to service large corps we are planning to allow CSMAs to be anchored in all lowsec, 0.0 and wormhole systems regardless of sovereignty status.

So what part of that indicates that they want to remove the ability of capital ships to dock?

Yes. They will not be able to dock while the server is down for patching. They will be able to dock immediately when the servers are brought back online after the patch. Roll

My mom was yelling down at me about changing my underwear. I told that ***** to shut the hell up. I'm 35 and I changed my underwear last week. So I decided to login into Evegate and be an asshat. Dude what are you ******* stupid asking dumbass questions in GD!

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Supers mooring up outside of Stations, now that something interesting. Supers becoming part of the superstructure? CCP may have something there.

I heard that capitals wont be able to un-dock, cyno-jump or cloak.

We currently have the world's greatest linguists and scientists trying to decode what you just said.

Having Super/Titans dock would be fantastic. Making it cost a LOT would be fantastic - isk sunk!

How many people have alts that could do alternative things - its called 'sitting' - is that really what eve is about?

For nullsec - outpost cheap if Sov held, and Maxxed out.

For Lowsec - 20M a day? Docked or anchored ... fail to pay and siezed? Cost goes down as faction/corp standings go up? 10M per day min? Monthly bill - cant front load. Slots limited - but visible outside? Would certainly make lowsec more interesting.

Its one of the saddest things I think in eve, to see a market for sitters, basically 'do nothing' alts. Its cash for CCP - or not, as its typically a main alts non main - but makes for rather odd mechanic and strange hijinks in lowsec at least to do swaps.
