Hello everyone, I am currently shooting a movie depicting the beauty of EVE Universe. I tinkered a bit with the in-game camera settings, but there is something I can't do : smooth camera movements.

I would like to know if there is an option in-game, or an out-of-game tool that would let me make slow and smooth zooms & movements, other than in post-production or by lowering my mouse sensivity.

Thanks.

Tell your dolly grip to fly slower.

Seriously.

try using the camera tracking, i think it's shortcut "c" then for instance look at a drone, track your ship and give the drone some commands, this can give nice smooth approaching shots, in fights look at a frig and track larger ships.

here is an example of what you can expect: youtube

I wouldn't recommend "C tracking", it's kind of unreliable and inflexible compared to just using advanced camera.

"As an example" this was shot the cinematic parts of this were shot very slowly (seriously, tell your grip to slow down!) with advanced camera: Youtube

I know about this and I really like it, but sometimes I want to shoot on specific angle or in situations where C and extra camera options can't be used.

I was wondering if there is a program that "smoothes" whe mouse movement, allowing for cinema-like shoots.

I don't know anything about this software, so if it kills your Granny it's not my fault, but maybe you could try something like:

From experience, the most effective way to smooth mouse camera motions it to adjust your mouse speed in your computer.

When I need to get smooth movements this is what I do. I will admit it causes pain when I need to move my cursor quickly but the effect for camera works.

I recommend the construction of a Rube Goldberg machine to control mouse movements in a smooth manner. Or export all models and textures with Triexporter and use a 3d Package to create your shots... both involve a lot of work but the Rube machine sounds more fun.
