There is as always a very large number of 'smaller' changes that do not warrant a full dev blog. We often find that it is the little things that are of most importance to many in the Community so I hope that you like what Odyssey brings

To be honest, this is one of the more exciting changes I'm looking forward to Smile

open space does tend towards the cool end of the temperature spectrum.

Vacuum isolates pretty good, actually. You'd loose body warmth/fluids on a very slow rate in deep space... you would have suffocated, be fried by radiation or shredded to peices by micro particles long before you'd even begin to freeze to death.

This sounds pretty cool, I approve already and look forward to dying.

I'm assuming a patch is going to hit between now and this test? I tried getting podded yesterday and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

We're working on the build currently, it should be on Sisi in the next few hours

I hope your writing all these 'smaller' things down, you know how upset people get when you miss a minor change in the patch notes :)

New undock button is awesome, yes !

Hitpoint warnings could use a bit more customisation (already planned ? :D) so that even the shield warning could be dramatic. An armor tank does not care of his shield, but a shield tank could use more warning than a simple white text.
Anything planned for capacitor warning ?

Pod ejection is great ! I especially like the fact that it triggers also when you peacefully eject without loosing the ship ! Need the same thing when boarding ship !

Pod death is as it should be : minimalist, yet extremely dramatic. I love the duration, no need to shorten a transition as anyway being podded means that you can't join back the field immediately again.
Eventually, as the screen remains black for a long time with only a little text, adding a "Memory transfer in progress" with three dot alternatively fading or something like that, in the middle of the screen, could be cool to show that the game hasn't crashed or anything. (And it would definitely be cool ! :D) I admit, it's useless !

A HUGE GOOD JOB for the sound team, new ambiant sounds are awesome, all of them. They are perfectly rendering a cold and harsh space. (Anything planned to fix turret sounds to make them sound like big guns btw ? :D)

Stargates seems even more awesome than before. Should be the new lights on them, yes. (But I strongly agree with those saying that you need to do something about camera movements at the end of the jump tunnel, like making the tunnel already exit in the right direction - no need to be realistic as we are travelling in 4 dimensions anyway xD)

I have to say that now this extension starts to feel like a very good one. I usualy always complain, and I only changed my mind because of "minor additions", but overall they are participating to make the player catch the feeling of a cold space, of a sci-fi univers... In my opinion, it's very important, even if these are just cosmetic changes. Because they are making us enjoy a tad more our "daily game-life" with more efficiency than any fancy feature.

Perhaps you are seeing something that is way more minimalist than you should be seeing... do you just get a black screen?

I just get a black screen and little bit of red text in the bottom left of the screen.

It's okay, we aren't disabling the UI during the ship-to-pod transition. That would be silly :)

And yet it seemed perfectly reasonable to you that it should be disabled for the new jump animation? Or has that been re-thought after ppl who actually play the game told you it was not the greatest decision...?
