on the chopping block for promised additions on the Winter Expansion? The Assault Ship 4th bonus won't be included on release. I assume this is just the first of many said changes that will not be honored. Next will be FW(I mean who doesn't see it getting chopped off the "expansion"?) But at least we get 4 new BC hulls, and some other random fluff. :(

How's about you realize FIS is top priority for the first time in 2 years and this is just the beginning. Much respect to CCP for engaging the way they have been and re-tooling production to what players are asking for, it's no easy task.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

i wonder how much of what players have been asking for will make it into release? God forbid they delay the changes to hybrids, I imagine things would get crazy. Some people actually get excited for changes, and additions. Shouldn't even make a reference to a game change or addition if there is a possibility it won't get implemented. After all, you lose your credibility because anything you say could be just another falsehood.

As far as I remember, CCP didn't promise to iterate on AF in the winter expansion, they only claimed, that they are working on it. If you have some different information, then sauce plz.

EVE Online´s Winter 2011 expansion will be themed around improvements to warfare and PVP. We will be talking more specifically about each of the features and items in the coming weeks but, for now, here‘s an overview of what functionality, systems and gameplay we‘re going to improve and add to.

Assault ships is 3rd on the list, under Hybrid weapons balancing and Factional warfare. I know nothing is set in stone but its a big disappointment at the very least.

Oh I dunno, sacking 20% of your work force seems to send a pretty clear message that attitudes are changing and the new direction is make or break. Im pleased that Navigator came out and said as much about assault frigates in a very frank and fast manner rather than beat around the bush for weeks.

In the number of years I have spent eyeballing the forums even when my account was inactive I have never seen so much interaction with the community and relevant information shared. For once im going to give them a chance and see where it goes with some confidence.

remmember that thing we all wanted with expansions? u know the "when its ready release it" instead of " 50% is done and 50% is buggy but we hit the deadline release it"

just because its not on release doesnt meant its not in the expansion.

Your only seeing interaction at this level because they figured **** was about to hit the fan and they could lose a larger portion of their player base. This interaction will not last, not how it currently is. It will go back to normal once everyone is koo'd by whatever content is released. Its like when you and your woman have a fight or heated argument. you kiss, make up and some make up sex. Its all great sex, but after a week its back to the same cold pootang.

Did you actually read the thread? Assault ships WILL be honored - just not in the first release.

But yeah. If they'd done Assault ships and not the new BC's there'd be another thread whining about that instead.

They were doing WiS instead of FiS, they got blasted, so they did FiS instead of WiS. They get blasted.

Yes I read it, but that is a vague answer "not in the first release" It could be X number of expansions later, and that would still be a valid and correct answer. Hell they said it would be added in the Expansion, and now they are saying it will be added in a further release. What am i to believe?

Engine trails may not be making it this expansion either though they where never exactly promised either.

Yes, and i even stated I knew nothing was set in stone but it was a big disappointment.

oh no, I sure hope they don't axe the new bc3s, I love short range high damage weapons

my money's on Walking in stations, because flying is cooler than walking

How nice. So they announced a big time changes and slowly taking away most of it. Now there's no 4th bonus to assaults and probably FW wont be anyhow improved. I will not be surprised if all they release for Winter will be CQs and 4 BCs in addition to new cool Nebula jpegs and old cool engine trails.

What a shitstorm it will be then i can imagine.

Don't let them fly safe!
