Grow the **** up.

I'm Norwegian living in Japan, and I can't even register my adress/country to order the thing. Likely I'll be relegated to asking my parents to pay the import tax and forward the stuff to where I live.

Currency stuff is trivial in comparison.

Do you have huge bank fees on paying for things in different currencies or something?

Might be time to try a different bank if you are.

one dollar costs about 6.5 norwegian kroner
one euro costs about 8.5 norwegian kroner

thats about 20-25% difference in price for me, so basically its just that I wanna buy in the currency that is lowest compared to my currency.

also thank you america for dumping the value of your dollar, 10 years ago 1$ cost 9.5 NOK also I hope your currency takes yet another dive so I can buy cheap **** from the internettz \o/

One euro is 7.5 NOK at DNB. And really, a month is what, 15 euro? That a Big Mac menu. The difference in price wont get you a coffee at a 7-11.

been a while since i checked, your right, but the dollar is down to 5.8 so yeah its only like 23% atm, so yeah on a monthly sub, i save only 4.4$ or 3.4 euro then multiply by 3 accounts and you have about 13$ or 10 euro a month saved, tats 156$ or 120 euros each year, yeah I care about that, I dont like throwing money out the window. also the collectors edition pack I was considering when I noticed the problem (that didnt really exist) I save 43$/33eur

so your point was again?

Whatever IT is, I'm sure I'm doing it wrong.

The rest is damn good however.

I just pay for everything in US dollars and it works out perfectly. Maybe move to America or better yet, since this is clearly a big problem for you, move to a country where the currency is ridiculously depressed in order to bypass this egregious trouncing on your internet shopping rights.

Our dollar is depressed however it is the strongest world currency. 66% of the world’s central bank foreign currency reserves are in US dollars.

In its current form, the Euro is dead anyways. Greece killed it.

In a few years the european governments will even come to realize this.

Does the price not differ when purchased in different currencies thus making it equal regardless of what you purchase it with?

E.g. 10 GBP with UK selected, 12 Euros with EU selected.

So it doesn't matter that you purchase it in a different currency because you are being charged the same amount regardless, based upon whatever source of currency trade values CCP's system takes it from.

Or am I being stupid?

only if you ignore a significant part of history, and cherry pick from the rest.
but the Euro was effectively killed by Brussels.
and if there is such a thing as a European government in a few years, im sure they'll have come up with a few more scapegoats by then too. But there won't be so its a moot point.

Since my national currency is not supported and has a way different base value I have to buy foreign currency and then buy the product. if a say I bought the collectors edition for 150 norwegian kroner instead of 150$ that would effectivly give me a price of about 26$.

to put it plain if an american excanged 1$ he would get 6.84 norwegian crowns or seven since the lowest coin is 1 kroner

though I found that there was not really a problem at all, I could just change the currency I wanted to shop in at the top right corner, *facepalm

I do love a well-informed and knowledgeable American perspective on other countries' economics. Makes me feel like their news stations aren't just pumping out "EU IS SINKING, 'MURICA **** YEAH!"

As an Australian...

The Collectors edition stated price on EVE store is 149.99 EURO, not including delivery.

But once you go to the checkout the breakdown is as follows;

126.04 EURO for the Collectors Edition
+
19.20 EURO for delivery

Total of 145.24 EURO (less than the RRP?), this equates to ~$189.15 AUD.

By local standards this price is fairly high for a collectors edition, compared to other recent games where we pay anywhere from $60 - $120 AUD normally.

That said, I still bought one, and I am happy I did, I don't want to be one of those people wishing I had purchased one after they all run out.

I'll be a very happy lad once mine arrives in the post Big smile
