Ok

I've been doing pi the whole day again... and it's driving me nuts when I need to klick this there and that here and the this there and so on. It's time consuming and boring and there over 200 kicks involved with a single planet to get up and running properly.

So my proposal is to have fitting like setups for P.I. that you need to make but after you have done them you can just stamp the desired fit to the planet and be done with it.

So to save everyone nervers, wrists and brains could we have a setup like thing for P.I. as well.

Can't be that hard to implement. I hope...

And no I did not search has this topic been here already. Evil

Even just adding a copy/paste option for things like processing plants would help. Definitely could use less clicking overall.

Perhaps have the fittings save the products from the extractors/factories. And the routing. So all you've got to do is drop the factorys/storage down. Then hook up an extractor or 2, and start the PI.
That would be great in my book

yessss...

Great idea.
just to be able to drop 6 planet setups to your corpies to make nanite paste, or even transfer them to alts. / new planets. YES.

that said... i love doing my PI. and quite enjoy making each little setup perfect :3

+1. Way way too many actions for little things.

Using tablet, typoes are common and I'm not going to fix them all.

A multi-select option to allow you to configure multiple planets at once would be a simple solution.

I'm not for this, you gotta put some work into it!

As for PI: I think that if you use a standard layout of your own, you have your extractors in a ring around a Launchpad or whatever then you should be able to set that up as a Template. On each planet you take your template and bang it down and it calculates the cost as per normal per unit in that template.

Also it would be nice to move an extractor further than the "range" when it's not active and allow you to do all your editing e.g.g removing an extractor unit so you can extend the link due to lack of power and then submitting. I think you should be able to do all editing without submitting.

+1 if nothing but for making PI more intuitive instead of a giant tangled WTF like it is now. It was a great idea with poor implementation. It's like CCP had all these grand ideas for it and either ran out of time/money/desire to continue so dumped in on Singularity as is.

+1 to this request. Also the ability for a shift+click to designate multiple destinations for a commodity to be routed to, i.e. 6 processors receiving an extract from storage...

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

It doesn't even have to start with things that complicated, just some ease of use changes would help.

1) If a processor or extractor only has one link, that is where the product should be routed.
2) If you change what an extractor is pulling, or what a processor is producing, it shouldn't delete the route (See #1).
3) If a processor has only one link, it should try and route the incoming products automatically when you install. You would still have the option to manually delete the routes from the storage/LP as needed.

I think those are quick and easy changes that would remove a lot of unnecessary clicks. After that, they can work on templates and such.
