I predict that the price of Veldspar and Scordite will drop too far and come back up when people realize that the mineral yields of nullsec ores did not increase by quite as much as they thought.

Just an idea, but why not just have everyone who is concerned about this change train up a cloaky alt and go park it somewhere in Nullsec where people mine? Apparently it is their one true weakness.

They can't. They could try to gank all miners, but it is a futile task. People are greedy and any strike by one group just opens a door for another to step in.

Im here to report and file a formal protest.
I have successfully organized all the scab miners. We are currently on strike. We demand all miners stop working immediately and go on strike. Working during a strike is our job, not youre's. You need to cease and dismiss immediately, you are hurting our bottom line and stealing our job stealing jobs. This lack of lack of inactivy by miners is uncalled for. How we scabs supposed to make money if you continue to work?
Stop stealing our jobs and stop mining now, so we, the Still Can't Afford Beer Union, may mine all the goodies in you're place and make money while you all sit docked up, spinning ships and forum PvP'ing.

ICE belts are getting crowded! So crowded you may want to look into purchasing the ORE Faction ICE harvestors I put up for sale in Jita that increase your range & make bumping that much more difficult! Also once Odyssy hits & ICE starts depleteing faster then an ice cube in hell these ORE Faction harvetors will give you an edge in fast draining the next ICE slab thts just out of reach to the poor noobs that don't have the boosted range you'll have!

hate to break it to you, but faster cycle times will get you more ore than any extra range will...
that means you should hire me to provide orca boosts!

Acutally your orca boosts will multiply my FACTION ORE HARVESTORS to a range of ~17k with LG HARVEST implants I think then you could reach 20+ (ROQ bonuses even farther)
Dunno if I'm going to put those implants on the market though they would be very pricey ( like close to the price of HG slaves... I wish there were HG Harvestors available from ORE instead of LG )

" We have no problem with a strike being organised. I agree it would be fun but I don't expect it will ever happen. Apathy and a lack of trust will put paid to that one.
On the subject of mining ice rather than ore it may have just about been worth it a week or two ago but not now. We did the maths yesterday and ore is still much better than ice. With maximum Orca support and mining with a Hulk with enough tank to just survive a T2 Catalyst gank you will make nearly 13,000,000 ISK per hour mining ice and approximately 25,650,000 ISK per hour mining ore. So you would be better off mining ore and buying the ice products. Actually you would be even better off mining the ore and buying unrefined ice which goes for about 10,730,000 ISK for an hours worth. Ore prices are slowly recovering atm so the disparity will probably widen.

The only spoke in this wheel is the changes via Odyssey in June. We do predict trouble and shortages at that time so I can fully understand why people have switched from ore to ice. But in the short term ore is still vastly better.
