About 2000ish missiles should be enough for a standard mission or howevere many after you can get in after 17 Boosters and about 17x800 cap charges plus 5 already loaded. If you have CPU problems slap in a cpu upgrade in the low instead of the PDA. If you have some spare use a tractor beam or whatever you wish in the high. If you are struggling for cap (you shouldn't) you can swap the Power diagnostic out and place a Cargo expander instead to hold a few extra Booster charges.

I did end up picking up a Navy Scorp. The cost was not prohibitive, and I've already earned about enough to pay off the price difference. If she pops, no harm done.

The painters made all the difference in the world. I've lost a couple of light drones, but only when I got a bit too antsy. Think I'm going to stand pat for a bit and skill up for a while before moving into a more fragile (and DPS minded) boat.

I'm able to fit the T2 tank as listed in the original fit, so I feel fairly comfortable with the risk. Now I just have to get my cap and weapon skills up to snuff.

Thank you again for the input guys, you've been a ton of help. I was a bit disappointed initially with the SNI purchase, but it looks like a decent boat to skill into until I feel ready for CNR.

I just came back to get something of my chest because of some stupid remarks by forum warriors. It was my first post here and i was\am pretty sure by experience of how to fly L4s for an inexperienced player in a Raven.
Naively shocked as i was by some reactions, I tried pretty much every setup that has been proposed in here (as if i didnt already). Conclusions (before the "this all is outdated because of Odyssey" stuff):


- Rigor Rigs only work on Cruisers and Frigates. Those targets should be prey for your T2 (needed) drones. Forget them ! Put CCC's in. Considering T1 ammo.
- Micro Jump Drive gets you jumping around the room, and avoid some damage (and scrambling\webbing in some cases), but makes the mission take way longer because you cant get your drones in. Not to mention targeting range issues. Can be a choice, but still ...
- Capacitor booster can help, obviously. Remember that it costs a slot for resistances that can especially be needed against EM\Therm foes. Furthermore it takes extra management which you dont really want ...
- Put Nosses in the highs just in case they come close.

Raven is still a great Newby L4 mission boat, and so it will be after Odyssey.
