Let it all burn... Increase the range of all disrupts and scrams?

Just wondering how people would feel if the following changes were made:

All warp disrupts +10km range
All war scrams and stasis webs +5km range
All HIC, Doctor, and mobile warp bubbles +5km radius
All scripted HIC beams +10km range

This would be a base change to range, so ships like an arazu or any fleet intercepter would gain an even longer range.


Just curious if this change would annoy people more, hinder brawlers too much, or just be fun as more things would blow up

Would make gate campers extra happy.

Would probably make long range weapon systems too OP. Long point would be like 34km without heat, faction point like 45km o.O

web range would have to be adjusted.

The range of those modules is one of the critical factors the entire pvp meta is balanced around.
Altering them would probably require the rebalancing of a lot of ships and possibly skew the meta further towards kiting.

Rigs that alter point range & web range/strength however... hmm..

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

i am not convinced. my personal idea would be that since you are going to be webbed and scrammed anyway, you may as well fit blasters and orbit 500.

I'm a fairly verbose fellow, and I'm completely at a loss for words to describe how stupid this is.

I suggested something like this in F&I. Just increasing the range on current points causes problems with camps and other issues.

However, you could introduce a new warp disruptor and scrambler to the game, each with significantly greater range than the current ones. However, they would need to complete a 6-10 second cycle on the target before becoming active (ie 6-10 seconds after target lock before they're held down). Initial tackle is no easier, but it's now possible for fleets to operate at ranges greater than 24km without being in nullsec.

But since you are webbed and scrammed and he has longer range you never get a chance to touch him before you die.

Since when are recons and t3's limited to nullsec?

How about we just say that if someone locks your ship you have to self-destruct? Cuz, that would be awesome...

I'd prefer to see an alternative warp disruption mod that had longer range, but limited ie only 30k - 60k point range

Would then still need the current mods, but also give options for fighting at different ranges.
