Command Ships solo C3?

So I have done some searching and I tend to find a lot of older post.
So my question is can a nighthawk solo c3 sites?
I know the tengu is better but I really do not want to train for a tengu right now as I am thinking of getting into a dread for c5/c6 stuff later on.

And would a night hawk even be worth soloing c3 in if in fact they can do it?
There are some good guides out there but everything is very vague.

I would like a guide that has ship fits for pvp and pve as well as how much you could make in each class of site and whats required to clear them from c1-c6.
sorry about the terrible grammar I have a really bad headcold and it's hard to even think or see the screen.

In regards to a the nighthawk, a passive shield recharge fit one should be fine for the majority of all C3 sites and anoms

If you want to know how to do each of them, eve survival is a good tool.

P.S you will be ganked at some stage, so just be prepared for it when it happens.

Cheers,

Not to nitpick, but why don't you want to train for a Tengu? I sorta fail to see the connection between training for a Tengu and training for a dread later on.

I been kicked out of better homes than this.

This. A tengu doesn't take all that long. But yes a NH (as well as a sleipnir) can solo C3 anoms.

It's not like you are going to train for caldari dreads anyhow....right?

Unless you are waiting for after the patch then it's literally saving you almost no time to go for nighthawk over tengu. Other than subsystems, but nighthawk itself takes quite a bit longer to get into.

It really just comes down to dps though. The nighthawk can do it, but it will just do it very slowly, and be more likely to get caught.

A Nighthawk can handle C3's perfectly fine. The problem is you're paying 200-250m for a better Drake, rather than saving for a Tengu, which is both better in terms of gank and much, much harder to catch, and therefore less likely to die.

A nighthawk is actually a good idea for C3 soloing because the hull is much cheaper than a Tengu and you will get ganked at some point. So loosing a nighthawk is much better for your wallet than loosing a Tengu.

I am stealing this idea, tyvm.

I live in a c3 and solo c3 anoms all the time so I consider myself well qualified to answer this question and here is the sum total of all my accumulated knowledge and experience:

Fly an insured drake.

Jons got the right idea, the improvement a Nighthawk gives over a Drake simply isn't worth the cost, and Drakes can solo all the C3 anoms. If you're going to spend more money, get a Tengu, C3s w/o highsec statics tend to be pretty quiet and you can use your Tengu when there are no incoming connections, or else, use an insured Drake.
