Odyssey anomaly changes, is it just Sanctums?

If someone from CCP could clarify it would be great.

Scramming ships are being added to anoms that don't have them (meaning forsaken hubs), and this is the part of the change most of us have focused on. But the flip side is that Sanctums are being buffed to swap some npc frigs for cruisers and higher.

The question is in the title, is it JUST Sanctums, or Sanctums and Havens? If this doesn't include havens, please reconsider.

For kicks i did a few havens over the weekend and damn were there a lot of frigs. Not in every spawn, but spawns 2, 3 and 4 in the Pirate Gate version of the haven has frigs, and a few spawns in the Gas Cloud/factory version of the haven have them to.

I tend to dual box anoms and always carry light drones and sometimes webs or painters, the frigs weren't hard to deal with per se, but they required special attention and sometimes mods to kill. While i don't do a lot of forsaken hubs, one of the big draws of that anomaly is not having to deal with those damn frigates.

TL;DR doens't just buff sanctums, havens need some love too, because npc frigs suck.

You realize these changes are nerfs to isk/hour, right?

It depends.

I've been doing havens and sanctums with my set up (mach + domi, mach with a target painter for frigs) and compared to forsaken and forlorn hubs it was slightly less isk per hour.

BUT if they change sanctums and hopefully havens to have fewer frigs and more cruisers, then sanctums and havens will be better isk/hour than CURRENT forsaken hubs (and probably way more than the new forsakens with frigs) with the right ship(s).

The fact that sanctums and havens don't spawn everywhere compared to hubs is the big nerf, but for actual anoms, I no longer believe that the forsaken hub nerf is going to kill anything.

Well it will probably lower the isk per hour on the top end but the high sp pilots will work around the changes. The bigger concern is that it removes a nice way for lower SP to generate some decent isk.

It's still going to be a big nerf just because it increases the pain in the backside factor to the point that far more pilots will find alternative ways to get their isk, which means you'll have fewer ships in space and thus fewer targets to be blown up.

Honestly putting frigates in hubs is the exact opposite of how anoms should have been fixed. If they wanted to put some more risk in they should have just put scrams on some of the cruiser rats, Adding frigates which have a completely different engagement profile than the cruisers and larger rats particularly after the NPC AI change that make drones public enemy number 1, makes it impossible to build a ship that can effectively engage both targets.

Further due to the way rewards work (**** bounties on frigates) means that there is very little incentive to team up. The poor guy on frig duty will make jack and crap while the ones shooting the cruisers and above are raking in the isk.

It's a really poorly conceived change, though it is exactly what most of us expected from CCP.

Concider the scanning changes that are also due in june.

How long will it take for an intercepter to jump into system and be in your sanctum?
I'm seriusly concidering to stop running anoms in a battleship at all

An armor tanked pvp fit cruiser ratting might get some nice solo pvp in anoms.
Nano fit ratting ships will just gtfo
Sentry domi's with mjd can actually escape anything without a scram and swat frigs.

Time will tell... but I personally excpect a drop in anom ratting.

Intel channels are great. And don't help you one bit with guys coming out of worm holes, guys logging off in your system when no one else is there, people not reporting in intel channels etc.

I plan on continuing to run anomalies in battleships, just not any of the more popular ones lol.

There is this chat channel called local that you can drag out into its own window. If you keep an eye on it it makes a great early warning system. You do know what staying aligned means right?

Ok, allow me to rephrase? WTF does that have to do with what we are talking about?
