Do the Haiku thing when you have a pod scrambled under your grasp, it's very fun.

As for us.

1. Agreements should be kept.
2. Some (like me) don't like smacking in local like those nullseccers like. And thus may act accordingly to the current level of boredom (but keep it noted anyway).
3. Pods are killed in fight
4. If some pod and/or ships are stuck after a good fight - they can be provided with exits. Sometimes for free.
5. People stuck somewhere may be provided with exit, and should be if you said you will do that. Props to the guy from Adhocracy for giving me a short way from null to high the other day

Hell, i remember the time when we killed someone who was a 2 week old char mining for his first time in a wh and didn't bm his exit. We popped him, then led him out and payed for his venture, just because he was ballsy for going into a WH in his first month of eve.

Heh. We blew away this poor day-tripper who was flying a Magnate, and found the skill book from the scanning tutorial in his wreck - it was literally his first time out scanning. We felt bad enough that we convoed him to tell him not to rage quit the game, and he was a really good sport so we gave him enough for a dozen new frigates.

The big thing IMO is to be a good sport about getting jumped, because it will happen, and to honor any agreements you make - if you give a corp an hour use of your system to get their pilots back in after you had a scrap, you let them have that hour (but if they're still running people through in an hour and five minutes, well that's a whole different thing).

Its all about being nice.

Shoot someone in the face - but be nice.

Pop the pod, but be nice.

Gank a whole plexing T3 fleet - but be nice.

Wipe your fleet on a well planned ambush, be nice.

Make a deal - honour it, and be nice.

Remember that and you'll be fine.

WH pilots on the whole will touch your bottom, steal your belongings, blow up your stuff, run your sites, crush your static and do all manner of evil things. But it will be done professionally and nicely.

Because of the random nature of wormholes it can be a while until payback happens. Corps and alliances will band together to get payback against a corp or alliance that has not been nice. Then there is much whining on the forums, and fingerpointing and blaming and he said she said - ad nauseum. When in reality, if they had been nice - it wouldn't have happened.

Nicely yours,

As many other WH ppl said above - in my opinion main rule of WH etiquette is: be a man of your word, and also you have to love shooting other WH ppl into face :D

There is no exceptions for PODs (or Eggs like we call it in Polish Cool) during a fight or even after if waiting for that fight took too long :). But I never fake ransomed anyone, also few times I refunded ships and PODs for newbies we killed.

We honor our agreements always (10 vs 10 for example or giving someone exit for a fair price, sometimes for free).

Personally I also do not like smacktalk on local. Local is good for GF after a fight.

no nullies in WH space, dirties up the place

recent example, Talocan United just evicted Cha Ching PLC. cant link the killmail due to forums rules, but use evekill and search a lil bit.

if you dont pew in WH space, u dont jew in WH space!

I suspect that wasn’t main reason, but they killed two birds with one stone, since one of their corps was looking for a new home.

Having recently moved from k-space to the unknown we found ourselves engaged in a little debate on corporation comms.

Is there a different level of courtesy extend to wormhole dwellers in PVP? This is a foreign concept to most of my squad as the vast majority of our PVP experience is from the grief stricken systems of low sec.

For example, in small gang skirmish PVP (yes I know many of you will say this doesn't exist) outside your own hole is there an established etiquette for pod killing and potentially assisting players should they get trapped ect.? My initial perspective is that unless there is a strategic reason to kill the pod of the unfortunate soul(s) who fell victim to your gang it would seem to me that it would it would be a very nice gesture to forgo spilling the pod juice and settle for some GFs in local.

This of course would all depend on the class and maturity of the parties involved and any EVE pilot that expects any courtesies to be extended would be foolhardy at best. The reality is douche bags will always spray douche regardless of the arena.

My encounters so far leave me optimistic but this view may self destruct without prior warning. I am interested in hearing the community's perspective.

- Have fun
- Keep your word
- Don't go ***** about the playstyle of other corporations
- Don't blame someone for things you do yourself
- Adept to situations
- Make your own choices
- you can join an alliance, or have friends out of an alliance
- you can fight your friends and fight your enemies
- but you decide how you play the game and if people complain just ignore them
- If you don't want to be sieged come fight, be polite and keep your word.
- If you still get sieged wich can happen, adept to it.
- If you think your playstyle in wh's is better then that of others then you are wrong.

There is no internet spaceship bull-shido. And e-honor is terribly subjective. Here's a quick and dirty guide on how to behave in W-space.

Give everyone a modicum of respect in Local.

Smack talk in local is fine. But if you push it too far be prepared to deal with the consequences.

Cowardice is frowned upon.

Don't PoS up as soon as you see a scout on scan. Don't flash crash him out either. It's rude.

Corp thieves are the lowest form of scum.

If you steal from your corp. You will not be forgotten.

And above all else.

Always honor your word.

W-space is a small community. We all talk to one another. Even if we hate each other's guts and have long standing rivalries. If you become too much of a flash-crashing yellow-bellied smack talking PoS spinner, someone will eventually come push your sandcastles over. Repeatedly. You can and will get evicted if you and your buddies never fight and become too much of a pain in the ass.

If you make a ransom arrangement. Honor it.

If you agree to fight someone one on one. Honor it.

If you make a mistake and **** up. Own it. Don't be a mealy-mouthed wuss and make excuses.

Anything else is fair game.
