Latest explosions lacking in visual impact

I cannot be the only person who dislikes the latest explosion effects, they have no visual impact what so ever. To see the explosion you have to be looking for it, the old ones would draw your eye. Seeing an entire fleet whelp was a fireworks display. Now you get nothing.

Please art devs, iterate the explosions again - gives us ones with some visual impact again.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

They look tiny and weak.

When a titan blows up, I'd expect the entire screen to be covered in light and fireworks etc. Same with a POS or something.

Smaller ships could also use bigger and better explosions too.

i think the main problem is that they happen far to quick. Most of them look like fire crackers instead of something large exploding.

*insert obligatory nexus the jupiter incident or homeworld yt vid here*

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Bigger, Better, and longer.

And when something big explodes... Everyone should be shocked at how awesome it looks.

That alone will bring in a ton of players and keep the older players happy.

exactly. explosions by ship class. each explosion has a visually drawing flash like the old ones. ships with multiple explosions the last one is larger / all encompassing and the earlier ones smaller.

frigate / dessy /other small **** = one
cruiser / battlecruiser = one to three
battleship / small pos / poco = three to six
capitals / large pos = six to 10
super capitals = NEED MOAR EXPLOSIONS :P

I miss the old ship explosions and the old torp explosions. Seems to be a downward spiral in the explosive department.

except the new bomb explosions, those are awesome.

the biggest difference between it and the ship explosions? that beautiful, colorful, pulse wave.

Looks nice. Hopefully torp explosions will get this treatment

I too must admit when I comes to Torps, I miss those giant shockwave effects that use to go off.

yea explosions should be much more intense, adding shockwaves and stuff, rumble the screen a bit, at the moment its just a blob and done

Back when the player ship explosions were going off..you KNEW that someone had died. A bright blue flash that lingered for a second or two. Now... 'Was that a rat or did someone die? Anyone? WHO DIED DAMMIT!".

Same for the torp explosions. When you got hit with torps back int he day, YOU KNEW IT. Now..Meh. Was that a torp or a heavy missile?

Yes, bring back the old splosions, but leave the new cap wrecks.

Not only should the entire screen light up bright enough to give you a sunburn....

I think it's time.

Time for explosions of large things to have a shockwave.

It's immersion-breaking and kind of dumb (like insurance payouts for suicide ganking and now, for dueling too) that a ship big enough to change the tides on planets can blow up right next to you and nothing happens.

C'mon now.

Titan and Supercap explosions....with AoE damage.
