Everyone needs a pole, just in case you need to do poley things suddenly. Like have a sign displayed easily for a lot of people to see, or reach something far away.

He looks like a wanna-be Sith apprentice, and not one of the good ones, but a throw away crap one used to make a Jedi hero look good. You know the Sith type that doesn't even get a good lightsaber battle in, just a quick.... As you wish master, then dead when the Jedi sneezes.

I probably should have prefaced my comment by saying I like Kane, enjoy what pirates like him add to eve, and all that pirate love crap. Heck, the old avatar looked like that perfect mix of respectable scoundrel, something of a blending between Richard Branson and a captain Morgan. Sure he killed your ship, sure he ransomed your pod, then maybe popped it because your ransom song was off key and not done as a proper round, but still, you were honored to face such a pirate. All the ladies swooned, all the fellows wish they could be so rugged.

Now though... I swear... He looks like the six fingered man from Princess Bride... Either that or he should come bursting in shouting "nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!"
