Well, if you're going to count the value of dev-hacked implants spawned into the system for free, it seems to me you'd also have to include the theoretical value of the aurora implants if they ever made it into the open market.

So, each CCP podkill is technically worth

ELEVENTY ONE TRILLION ISK.

Urine definitely wins

/sarcasm

Nope, because CCP said they'd count the value on the kill report. Aurora implants have 0 value on kill reports.

Are you a little slow? I mean this has been explained quite a large number of times.

Are you a little mad?

get a ******* grip XD

oh i forgot to mention, using a forum alt is undignified Cool

I get it, you're roleplaying a self-loathing unsuccessful person, with a tendency to cry at the drop of a hat.

******* roleplayers.

nah i love myself and i'm basically amazing

but try another diagnosis dr phil

Wow, that was quick and defensive, as your illustrious Dr. would say:

Why do you feel the need to defend yourself? I was talking about the persona you are roleplaying, and you seem to think I was talking about your real life persona. I mean, it's only internet spaceships, right? Who needs dignity?

you think that was really a defense? Lol

and as it happens yes my reply was still ~in character~ so idg what you're trying to project

We can easily agree that 40b to 50b of pods in lowsec in a single day, from a single group of pilots (dev's) is unheard of and MOST likely the main component behind 'we should remove dev mails/pods from the tally'.

On the other point, whilst many may have gone for the kill dev's to statpad tactic, we didn't, we stuck to our usual mantra of get into the biggest fights, kill the most people, kill the super, have the most fun tactic.

Sure, but EVE has always revolved around metagaming and doing something a bit underhanded that maybe doesn't seem quite right in order to win. Which is what we did, and I'm sure PL can appreciate the thought behind it.

For what it's worth we decided it would be a lot more fun to fight CCP than try to join the horrific tidi-fest in the main system. And I think we were probably right, fmpov

@IamBeastx yes you're right the 40bil of pods is unusual. However they were lost in your usual low-sec way, gangs brawling it out around gates.

Whilst I applaud the nice plan to use the Nyx, it's a pos-like situation and not really anything you see in low sec either. It was silly of CCP to put it on the exact same day, I haven't found a convincing argument as to why they'd do that other than they didn't really give it much thought and didn't have the insight to realise the kind of fight (from nullsec entities) it would draw.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the comp though, maybe it WAS just about getting players to kill each other, and not a celebration of low-sec itself (just happened to be there). In which case, we went for the CCP fleet (cause we don't do POS style engagements, we just don't have the numbers) and you guys drew the better ticket.

So yeah, when it comes to unusual situations, I think ours befit the spirit of low sec ;)

Good job, Ramirez, no sarcasm involved.

What, I've been totally level headed this entire thread Lol

To make my position clear, I *thought* CCP were celebrating low sec, which traditionally (at least the residents think) does not get a lot of attention. I *assume* they wanted to see brawling throughout low-sec and lots of kills, which did happen, and that they wanted to avoid the null-sec style fighting where tons of people just pile into TIDI systems and someone eventually has a weener. Maybe they thought (but why oh why) that this rifters event would provide lots of goodfites too, but we all know static multi-billion target is never going to be low-sec style considering everyone and their dog knew it would be there.

That's why i found their decision a bit Roll since it was rather random, denied kills gotten in a good ol' brawl and gave it to someone who, quite well done, did it in a null-sec meat grinder. So yeah, the spirit of the comp is unclear to me right now, and CCP never did say what they saw it was for.

Well, CCP picked that day as it covered the 10 year anniversary of the launch and happened to also be on a weekend. So did Marlona and you can't really fault the two events from coinciding like that. It was the obvious day to pick for both of them.

oh for sure, I can totally appreciate trying to go after developers in order to get high-ISK kills. it's right up there with dismantling alliances, stealing Titans and headshotting capitals.

it's so META, you see!

So the thread outcome is that PL are still smuglords (except against Vargurs), CCP still have no love for low sec people and can't communicate for ****. Sounds like business as usual, 10 years and counting.

You forgot that those Urine guys are whiny and foolishly boasted about the outcome of the event prior to the actual announcement declaring them the winners only to make themselves look like fools when the actually announcement declared that they didn't even come in second but fifth.

Hey welcome to the thread, read the last 20 pages that contain shreds of actual logically construed argument and discussion and do get back to us on that.

Do you mean 20 pages of you and yours refusing to swallow the bitter pill of defeat? Nah I think I'm all caught up.
