An Encounter with The Ferryman

I find over the years you encounter a cast of characters in Eve who, sometimes without knowing it, shape you or your organisation. One such story for us, is the encounter with the Ferryman:

The Ferryman

I wonder if he still plays. I would like to think that he does, though I fear that such a man could not last long in the cold, harsh world of New Eden.

Already found this story before seeing this topic, but just decided to post here to express how amazing this story is.

Definitely deserves a spot in the EVE comic or even an episode of the EVE TV show.

lol thats awesome. Best thing I've read in awhile.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

THIS story should be an episode on EVEs new upcoming TV show. its the stories like this that make up the fabric of what it means to be a capsuleer.

I'm trying to understand exactly what happened. Did he take the cargo, put it all in at the Yiratal station, go back to Fihrneh, bought all of the stuff he took and put it in the hauler, then went back to Edilkam? Or was it a more simple, he took it, decided he wouldn't take it, moved it back to where he found it, and kept using his rookie ship?

Came expecting tale of newbie getting destroyed.

Left disappointed.

You should've killed him. Instead he didn't learn a thing from this, and was probably just killed in a similar situation later. Some people need a good kicking to get the message across.
