Unacceptable blindspots in the 'Spread' probe formation

My entire concern can be best summarized with this single image:

The bottom half is where I properly fixed the formation. Having it further spread would once again create small blindspots on the upper/lower portions in between the probes towards the center probe.

There are blindspots in this formation. The pinpoint formation is fine, however if the spread formation isn't changed then I don't see it ever being used.

EDIT:
Ooop didn't notice the specific probe feedback thread, I'll paste this post in there.

Cant you just drag them closer together using shift and alt? But yes, no blind spots should be the default setup.

Oh my, so it's not just one click and scan, you still might have to do a little work? The horror!

It launches 7 probes in a spread formation, no where does it say that you get complete map coverage from it. Also, why can't people use the damn feedback threads?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

If you consider that all cosmic signatures are within a certain AU of a celestial, the "blind spots" normally are a non issue in practice.

It is still largely a useless configuration in my opinion.

considering the spread formation is useless for anything that cant be done with a single larger probe, blind spots or no, I fail to see the problem.

There is no Bob.
