Its probably more general ambivalence than anything else.

We've all been through this phase, and either quit or learned and moved on. If you're not mature enough to accept that loss is part of the game then its not the game for you.

If the guy ever does decides to change his approach towards gaming, to come back to EVE and learn from his previous mistakes then the replies in this thread which range from unhelpful to psychotic surely will not help.
