New Navy Drake concern from SiSi testing

The Drake no longer being the fotm but, I have checked out the new Navy version and I am very surprised and very disappointed that the current SiSi version does significantly less dps than the live T1 variant. same build on both TQ T1 version 625 dps no drones, SiSi Navy version 522 dps no drones.

The kinetic bonus is showing on the T1 variant on SiSi but the navy version has the explosion radius and velocity bonus on it.
So, not sure how anyone thinks we are going to pay A LOT more for a Navy version that does significantly less dps when in theory it should do a good bit more with more launchers but, due to the bonuses being different, it will not be worth the isk. I have not worked with the other Navy variants yet but , has anyone else seen this problem?

I do not feel that this is, in anyway a good design idea and don't expect too many to be bought other than a few hangar decorations for players with extra isk to blow.

I guess the official feedback thread was too crowded for you?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

"DPS Is lower, its automatically bad!" It gets a dmg bonus, you just don't see it on fitting, pretty much all of that dmg is now applied to cruiser size targets, making it more deadly to targets its likely to be shooting at instead of Battleships and Capitals with a Kinetic hole.

Lower DPS, better mobility and damage application.

I don't totally understand the problem here.

and longer range...don't forget that.

Now to the OP...yeah it does around 12% less overall dps then the t1 drake, but the difference is u can use all 4 dmg types without any dmg loss, normal drake high dmg with kinetic but with the rest of dmg types does lower dps then a caracal.
not to mention very very good dmg projection ...with maxed missile skill and bc lvl 5 can allmost apply full dmg to frigates at 90 km range.

So if u are using the new navy drake in the same role as the normal drake stop flying it....this drake is not a brawler like the normal drake.
The role for this new navy drake is long range fire support...... that's why it has better agility/speed, better range and better dmg projection.

Gotta love that explosion radius and velocity bonus, I can finally hit some frigates decently w/o using 99999+ Target Painters.

But yeah, the navy drake will hit harder to smaller ships than it's T1 counterpart. So in this case DPS means nothing (not entirely) unless you're hitting a BS or something very large.

"..., serves a completely different purpose on the battlefield. Being more mobile, able to project missiles more effectively at range, against smaller targets and on a wider selection of damage types, this ship is ideal to support small scale conflicts and raids."
