Quite frankly, I am surprised at CCP for not going this route to make paying for EVE Online better for the community. If WarGaming.net, Gaijin, Blizzard, and Infinite Gaming uses PlaySpan, then why not CCP? It seems easier to make a payment through them, than rather having said card be charged over a long span of time. Besides the card, there is PayPal and Webmoney. I know of one, and not the other. However, to me, PlaySpan makes it so simple and easy to get the payment I wish without all the hassle of having my bank account charged one week later and overdrafting my account in the process. It's just that easy to me. I know not about the community and how one feels about it, but PlaySpan would make it a lot easier to make payment. And we can all enjoy the game we love.

Never heard of it before, so I had to check it out.

Why would I want a fourth party in my transactions? Only adds to the costs. Direct debit is doing just fine for me.

Plex would be a little awkward, since you cannot pay for them with direct debit for obvious reasons. But there are national sellers for time codes, that work just fine.

Oh, well. Not sure what to say here really.

Would rather place my trust in the company that is selling me the product than some random ass payment service.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Why would I voluntarily put a middle man between me and a product that I am "purchasing?" It just increases overall costs.

Sounds to me like you have bigger issues to worry about than EvE.

Forget PlaySpan. I cannot buy anything from World of Tanks because they are claiming that I am running through an anonymous proxy when I have never even used one in my life. Using my assigned IP address like always. I even tried PayPal through them, wouldn't accept.

Talk to your ISP. Chances are they have a proxy sharing your IP periodically. Some ISPs just give you 'whatever' IP when you connect, without considering the impact that it has on your online activities. Someone else uses it and causes it to be untrusted for example, and then they hand it to you and you inherit the attribute. It's a dynamic IP thing; you just live in the wrong area.

Got it figured out. Just unplugged the modem for a minute, got assigned a new IP, works now. Had been trying to get through all day yesterday to buy some of the gift shop packages on WoT, so was kind of frustrated when I posted that up there, lol. The IP I had said I was in England on speedtest.net, when I am in the states. Was silly. Guess I would rather have a company using my credit card and so on be overly cautious than not using enough caution. Blink Anyway, all is fine now. Thanks for the reply. Big smile
