well, this change only adds things and doesn't take things away so i guess nobody can argue it's a bad idea, only the extent of how useful it will be.


If you are spending 5 months training a cyno alt you are doing it way, way wrong.

Well I want this since a while, having lots of high SP alts, even more know that I closed some alts accounts and transferred those to older accounts.
So your feature is a good thing.

Make me think again about what was talked about a master account on the past however, I suppose that if I ask you'll say there's no plans for that for now, but that you haven't dropped the idea :P

I like this feature. It's good for a "single use" type alt, where you just train it to the point you need, and leave it alone. A separate acct would need to be plexed/subbed to keep access. This will let me train, for example, a hauler, and have it always be available on my main acct.

Now, I don't know how technically feasible it would be to do this, but can we have same acct/multiple alts logged in?

Barring that, a smoother transition than "full logout to login alt" would be nice.

yes main is capital/blops pilot, but second account has a JF and Aeon pilot on it.

So I damn well need two cyno alts on my main account & it sucked I had to stop training my main account to train those two cyno alts.

Seriously, has anyone run this past the high level business types at CCP?

If it this feature reduces sub counts then advertisers and investors would conclude that there are fewer players than expected, which implies that Eve has a smaller marketshare which makes Eve even more of a niche game which makes CCP/Eve a riskier venture to invest in.

Even worse, the increase in PLEX sales could turn Eve that much more of a cash cow, and business folks milk cash cows, they don't invest in them nor do they take risks with them.

Seriously, this could backfire on CCP.



Subs going down a little is a very real possibility, but we need to remember that two accounts allow two clients. I personally will keep my 2nd account because of the fact that I can use both at the same time.

EVE online is the fishermans friend of MMO's. If it's too hard you are too weak.

lol fair enough but i still only see it as a one use alt feature if you have multiple accounts already or if your a new player getting into piracy and need a low sp hauler or some such

Clearly, you just don't 'get it', or at a minimum you do not understand my point of view. That's fine, but understand there are legitimate concerns when people can pay their way to achieve things in a game. Minimize them, say that there are already ways to pay your way to get what you want, etc., that doesn't mean a particular change is a good thing.

I feel planning and consequences should have a place in Eve. It's what attracted me to the game in the first place. I think that hiding behind alts and paying your way out of problems detracts from game play. I understand others may disagree (and I feel no need to insult or belittle them). This is why CCP wants our feedback.

I have two accounts (6 toons): PvE, PvP, Trader, 2 PI, and a scout. I move skill training around on each account as I need. If you make this change, I will then go out and buy PLEX so that I don't have to stop training my main (PvP/PvE) on each account.

What the means for CCP is that you will get cash out of me I would never have spent otherwise.

I like this option.

Don't have an issue with this, but I'd start it heavily nerfed - limited to only 2 (out of 3 characters) per account.
Prudent to start with baby steps.

You may need to change the login UI to display with CLARITY the number of characters in training.
A short tl;dr summary is always better than player having to confirm individually over the portraits.
