What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Since it's Friday, I figured chocolate was necessary for my first meal of the day. Hence, I split a croissant, and gently placed a half bar of chocolate on the bottom half. Warmed it for 10 minutes at 350, and devoured it in minutes!

The beverage of the morning is a dark roast coffee (extra strong) brewed through my trusty ol' DCC-1200. I took the day off to watch my four month old son so that my wife could work, and I needed the extra kick to keep up! Shocked

Tea.
Sausage and salami and ham and eggs on an english muffin ( was making the kids' lunches - swiped some for my breakfast).

Later: Office coffee - black and strong.

It was most excellent. If the pan is still warm from cooking the eggs, toss the salami and ham in to warm them up a bit.

I had never heard of weetabix until this post. The fact that they have a chocolate version is awesome!

I sometimes make breakfast burritos for my kids on the weekends. Scrambled eggs with bacon, cheese, salsa and sometimes jalepeno's.

They attack them like piranha.

I have to save the hots for my own burritos, but yeah. Very popular. Sausage works well, as does roast beef (steak-n-eggs burrito). I keep a couple pints of diced onlions and bell peppers in the freezer as well - those go goood in almost anything involving eggs. A winning variation is to put potatoes in along with the sausage and eggs. Your basic frozen home fries or tater-tots will do - cook 'em with the bacon or sausage.

Shredded Wheat for fiber, and 5 poached egg whites. Washed it down with a nice cup of Darjeeling.

Mashed potatoes with a breaded pan fried cod.

Note for everyone. Whomever says that mashed potatoes taste better if you do it with the skin on is a liar.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.
