All I'm getting is wormholes. I don't even like wormholes. Since I fly drone ships, I can't even go into them even if I wanted to.

Unknown sites that turn out to be combat related? I don't even bother trying to scan them down because most Unknowns I get are wormholes. I heard DED sites got rolled into these but I can't be bothered to separate them from WHs anymore.

Cosmic Anomalies? Rare in high sec to find, stupid in low and null to go to alone unless you like getting ganked.



So basically right now we have:
1. Grav/ladar sites - yeay mining
2. Mag sites - don't see many of these
3. Radar sites - not finding many of these (which I guess can be good), even trying low sec.
4. Combat sites - as I said, when they are there, the look just like WHs early on and I've gotten too many WMs to care to find these.
5. WH - loath entirely


So my question is, does any of this change in the new expansion?

Isn't efficiency intelligent in its own right?

I am probably one of the fastest and best probe scanners I know. Like most Shoguns - it usually meant I was the one who ended up scanning the most. Thought I have a huge ego, I never saw it as a measure of intelligence (maybe a little skill). But, most people use the same basic technique of deploying probes as only a few configurations actually work and living in a WH for the past year, I am quickly getting sick of the tediousness. I would love for a spachip that is supposedly super high-tech, to take care of most if it by using this amazing electronics package we have,

Maybe some ships should be better at it than others, but I am very pleased with this direction. I have enough skill in other areas not to be threatened by this. Maybe you need to expand your skill set.

I would actually go ONE STEP FURTHER, and allow scanning information to be shared among all fleet/corp members. The corp BMs are bit delayed for quick intel and It would allow multiple people to scan down the same system if it had a ridiculous number of sigs.

They have to save that feature for the next expansion.

This is depressing. I guess it's better that the new system will let you down quicker and easier and while I get that part of the appeal of exploration is the hit-the-jackpot appeal, the time and effort as it is now isn't really worth the effort. I only do this to take a break from missioning because so far, the rewards (fighting, loot, ISK) tends to pay out quicker and easier.

In the past few days I've found one radar site (30 different systems explored perhaps a mix of high and low). I priced the findings to sell at the lowest in my region at the time. I know it'll take awhile (that's part of the game), but I'm still waiting for the loot to sell.

My eventual payday? About what a level 4 would give me.

So more tediousness (to be removed), more work, more traveling, for less fun and less ISK.


Obviously this is a small sample size since coming back, but still, it needs more than just a new interface.
