Currently on SiSi the Cryptic/Esoteric/Incognito/Occult Interfaces are getting consumed in the Invention process. Lets hope the increase the drop of bpc and materials ...

Gonna file that one under "probably not". I just don't see them adding the need to build even more **** for the already-click-intensive process that is invention and T2 production.

Good catch. Who'd have thunk it.

I sure hope it's just a coding error.

Consumed or just tied up until the job is complete? Not that I really want to buy dozens of interfaces just to run concurrent jobs.

My 10 test invention runs consumed them. I did not get them back at the end

This totally has to be a bug. If this went live, invention would decline by about 99% and the howls about T2 BPO will go through the roof.

Perhaps you might post it in the Test server forums so that it doesnt get missed on release.

Or better yet, create a bug report, so the people that actually fix bugs see it.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Bug filed.

The updated decryptors also seem interesting. :) they're going to make changes to some. Especially the +4 ME one (unless that's another typo)

I dont think its a bug, Odessey is about Exploration, kinda makes sense giving us a reason to explore, doesnt it?

There's no shortage of incentives to do exploration.

Adding more build steps (and, more importantly, more clicks) to a system that everyone already agrees is too clicky just to incentivize the use of a system that is already pretty well incentivized seems doubtful.

I know its CCP we're talking about here... but this would be the dumbest change ever.

I'm already bat-**** bored with the click fest and I'm f*&ked if I have time to do exploration.
I've done some really stupid shit in this game.

Aye I believe there are several new variants of decryptor going to be available post Odyssey and they are listed on a recent dev blog.

Back to the OP I think one use interfaces has to be bug. They take sixteen hours to make for a start.

Given their current market availability of 100 to 600 items, their prices (now ranged from 1.5m to 50m) will exploded I think a decline of 99.9% is also possible. The cascade effects on T2 and Meta 4 modules and their pricing are hardly to be overseen. Even with exploration dropping interfaces by the 10k's CCP would be putting the stability of whole New Eden economy at risk.

Absolutely, must be bug.

This would kill T2 invention there is no doubt of that some markets are so volatile to invent with this extra cost would be pointless.

The bpc for interfaces, along with the components to make them, come from radar sites. Based on my experiences with scanning, the drop rates for interface bpc and the parts that go into them would need to rise by 3 orders of magnitude in order to keep the current levels of invention going if interfaces become consumables. I do scan down sites, I do T2 invention and manufacturing.
