Before you ask, this is not a post about how i lost a ship or got ganked by a person who has been playing longer.

This is actually a post about asking Eve players what they truly respect or admire.

This could be a game feature, another player or alliance or corp, or just what makes you shake in fear.

Let me know.

Wealth, power, intellect.

Most have 2 of those.

Short answer, nothing

Long answer, nnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooottttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg

We're pretty much all nerds playing a game about internet spaceships...honestly tell me what there is to respect about that. Hell I don't even respect myself anymore.

I respect people who can deal with loss and not whine about it on forums. If you can do that you generally have my respect.

Thanks to everyone that has given their opinion so far!

Also, thank you mauser for reminding me that no matter how many interesting individuals there are on Eve, there's always somebody who isn't.

Honor. Cool

A truely rare thing in this game.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

I respect anyone who will disband their alliance & steal everything they can for a chance to join goons.

This post was lovingly crafted by a member of the Goonwaffe Posting Cabal, proud member of the popular gay hookup site somethingawful.com, Spelling Bee, Grammar Gestapo & #1 Official Gevlon Goblin Fanclub member.

I respect the same things in game and out. Intelligence, being able to take personal responsibility for one's own actions and choices, boldness and creativity are at the top of my list.

Being a whiney, selfish entitled welfare-queenish D-bag who probably got a few too many hugs as a child?? Much less so :) .

Trust may actually be the most valuable thing in Eve.

I'm not an economist but if i remember right, low supply and high demand will lead to an increase in value. If that is true, then trust is probably being traded for billions of ISK in Jita right now!

Seriously though, I know what you're saying. I spent two months in this game looking for my first player run corp because I was afraid of getting scammed and killed by potential coworkers.

People who are willing to admit that they did a mistake and learn from that mistake.
People who are willing to talk to someone that is red to them, do things that you find morally wrong, have ingame professions that you dont understand or enjoy and still treat them like a human being and not judge them based on what gives them enjoyment in EVE.
