Hiya

Would anyone have an idea about this problem?

Since the new patch i have been unable to stay connected for more than a couple minutes.

Just today i got the socket closed message 11 times in 20 minutes.

Before the recent patch i had that happen once in a month.

Thank you!

That makes two of us actually. I got disconnected twice today in less than 5 minutes on Eve online, and I couldn't even stay connected on dust for longer than 45 seconds earlier this morning.

Found the port-open list for Dust and fixed it so now I run better than ever, but eve is still touchy.

Any help on this CCP?

I also have this problem, which is really bugging me as I can't pvp, do level 4s, run incursions or anything else save from hauling small amounts with this problem! Cry

Same problem here, and when i Googled it, tons of links came up with hundreds of players suffering the same.

Seems it's been like this for some since Inferno-expansion and it's gotten worse since Retribution.
CCP seems to be fairly quiet on the subject which is worrying and disappointing.

I'm a new player and just subbed, now I'm suffering from these horrible continous disconnects which ruins my gameplay.
Makes me think I wasted my bucks.

I'm really disappointed with CCP thus far, and thats a bad sign considering I just got the game.

Me and my wife just started having issues, we have played for 4+ years now and have never had a single issue with this. About 3 hours ago we started having random drops on some of our toons, we could log them back in and then another would go 5-10 minutes later.

I am at the point now that I can not stay logged in for more then 20 seconds before I am getting a socket closed error. Everything else works just fine, youtube, battlefield3, playstation network - everything! accept eve. WHAT DO!!!?!?!?!?

Never had any issues with Eve atll, up till last night;

Playing on two accounts, one gets Socket Closed. Well, that happens very rarely, so i just restart the client. After a few minutes, it closes again. Then my second account starts doing the same thing, up to the point where i cant connect to the server at all any more.

Reset modem, restarted pc and im still unable to get in game.

I can start the launcher, it shows that Tranquility is online, Status:OK, but as soon as i log in, SOCKET CLOSED.

What the hell is going on?

+1

Same problem for me on 2 different computers. Everything else seems fine after testing and measuring. Reinstallation of one of the clients didn't result in a fix.

The problems started yesterday. The connection felt more sluggish and it got worse with a noticable increase. Since last night the starter has connection-issues and when a login was successful the socket closes. Right now no stable connection is possible.

Corpmembers from the US didn't seems to have any problems as other people in corp.

A trace in the command UI result in 11 hops no problems and a pingtest to 87.237.38.200 results in min. 16ms max. 24ms avg. 19ms from the south of The Netherlands.

The starter-app is randomly offline and online, which goes in line with login in the main client. The main client logs that are available say that the connection was closed serverside. The starter-app has trouble reaching the contentserver according the logs.

You've got to be kidding me...

Did anyone call the helpdesk already?

They don't have any active reports listed, but I don't think they're that fast with updating that.

I couldn't get into my routers menu this morning and had to restart it to be able to load the page again. This usualy happens after maintenance or updates to the network.

Something is happening for sure, did everyone at Ziggo get the same memo? Big smile

and now this:
Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.

Been trying to call them, the 'iron lady' tells me to call back on a later time. Seems to be busy. Shocked

Yeah getting that too. Cant reach Ziggo helpdesk either, but thats probably because Eve playing customers are calling them all at once.

It's weird that it is directed at connections with CCP only. Any other online game or website internationaly or national seems to work fine.

The connection to CCP seems fine too, however the flow of information is interrupted, the logs say the server closed the connection for whatever reason. Both CCP and Ziggo had an upgrade or 'maintenance' going on 2 days ago. And it's something that got gradualy worse.

I had the same errors months ago, then I bought a new switch and all was well.

Now since that new patch, (I patched yesterday) I'm getting the error all the time. Seriously very annoying and I doubt it is my infrastructure..... what CCP Always says it is.

Also I'm on Ziggo, but as I said it did not occur for months.

Btw I also let my routers/switches turned off during the night but it still happens.... sigh.
