Heya guys, I'm at a loss with fitting a 1600mm plate on a harbinger for PVP as I can not for the life of me figure it out.

I just never have enough power, so I was wondering what skills do I need to make this fully work.

Any advice would be awesome

Cheers.

Are you using Heavy Pulse Lasers or Focused Medium Pulse Lasers?

Use the latter. If you are still having powergrid issues then look into your skills... Engineering and Advanced Weapon Upgrades to be more specific.

edit: Here's a fit I just cooked up...

[Lows]
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II

[Mids]
Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I (Navy 400 charges)
Warp Disruptor II
ECCM - Radar I

[Highs]
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II (Imperial Navy Multi)
Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I

[Rigs]
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I

[Drones]
5x Valkyrie IIs
5x Warrior IIs

Stats (with level 4 and 5 skills):
- has around 70k ehp
- deals about 560 dps (almost 500 with Scorch)
- burn at about 800 m/sec
- capacitor life is a little over 2 minutes (stable with the MWD and neut off)

Hi,

Train your engineering skill to lvl 5. That will help a lot. Each level will increase your powergrid with 5% on any ship. It is a very useful skill.

With that you should have no trouble fitting a Harby. The fit above is a common and pretty decent fit for PvP imho.

You could also use a Reactor Control Unit in the low slots or a Ancillary Current router rig till you get train your skills. Both increase the powergrid of your ship. They do decrease the combat effectiveness of the fit somewhat but its still usable.

Yeah you won't fit heavy pulses on with a 1600 plate without serious sacrifices to other parts of your fit.

with focused mediums you can actually fit a medium neut on there as well which, imo, far outweights the 75 paper dps you get by using heavy pulses

Thanks everyone, I guess it the Heavy pulse II that are throwing me over, so I'll change them around. .. I have engineering skill to lvl 5 already but my weaps upgrade is at lv 4, which I totally forgot about. Guess that will be the next skill I do, followed by adv weaps skill.

Knew it had to something small I was missing. lol

Appreciate all the help guys :)

Personally I prefer using heavies with an 800 plate. I have near perfect skills and get 800 paper DPS with 56k ehp
