While there is almost 1 week of war left we start to lack viable targets. We have watched the target to creat refugee-corp and joining them, staying offline, hiding in wormholes. That speeds everything down a bit at the moment.

From 04.05. till today the booties achieved a killcount of 88 with a total of almost 7b isk in damage on the current target.

The 100th Kill was achieved on 2013-05-10 20:05:00 with removing a Gnosis.

Since the bootcamp openend the doors 24 ships for a total value of around 430m were lost.

We still accept new booties!

The cost seems a little excessive and it would be good if you could run this thing for free. I feel like you need to find a decent donor or something.

200m is truly not expensive taking into account that we offer full ship reimbursement (with limitations).
Also it keeps awoxers out!

So i went to family- and breakfast 'duty'.

Meanwhile in Jita:

I have no idea why the guy targetpainted our targets...

EDIT:
Just heared that some kills are still missing ^^

This corp is where you should be especially if you are a rookie. You will learn 20x faster than if you were on your own. 200mill is nothing compared to the amount of time you save.

How much is your waking hour worth?

Well, what to say.
I heard of Kane from some corp mates, started reading about him and became a sort of idol. When I heard he was making a trainning corp directed by himself and his mate Stone I knew that's where I needed to be. I even joined the corp 1 week before it started.

So far it's been amazing beyond words, the fleets, the hunting, the support and help, makes it a very interesting enviroment to be part of.

Many of us (self included) got to see their first real fleet clashing a few days ago, which was a very enriching experience, both in fleet movement and fights, with targets being studied, analyzed and priorized. We emerged victorious with only 2 losses against ~15 kills, including a Megathron to pair with a Navy Apocalypse we killed the day before.
Few days pass, we get to kill a 1.5b Tengu along with several kills (right now our average is 11,5 kills per day), until this morning we get in a 3 versus 9 fight. killing 11 of them including pods, and losing only 1 cruiser.

Stone have been dedicating to the camp full-time, it's easy to grow respect for him
And Culo, while does have a name hard to take seriously for any spanish talkers, have been overly helpful, never missing a single question about fittings, making donations for the camp and lately joinning the fight itself, putting as much effort as Kane and Stone, if not almost more.

Experiences like this, makes EVE a different kind of game to play.

With http://camp.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=17760917 the bootcamp exceeded the 10b mark in damage since it started (01.05.13).

Kills so far: 131.

The new war which started < 24 hour ago the booties allready dealed 1.2b in damage.

We have room for more 'recruits' (almost) everyone is welcome - we wont bite.

A brief story why the BootCamp was created:

I was doing some brainstorming on if (and what) i can do for EvE for my 10th anniversary. While I´m beeing aware of that´s rather narccistic (and keeping in mind that i´m totaly unimportant to the EvE) I was still giving it a go.

My first thought was to add a couple of prices to the BIG Lottery. Tornsoul gave his ok. Problem was (and is): I'm ship and attitude rich - but rather space poor. So i sent a letter to an (imo) 'important-to-EvE'-guy who said to give it a thought (even might join the endeavour himself). After 3 weeks of waiting I gently asked if he got a final answer allready. He had. Sadly he backed out.

Downer.

So... more brainstorming happened with myself (it´s not that easy if you hear circus music all the time while using your brains).

What does EvE needs most? What can I do to improve the EvE-experience of as many as possible? What is it ...

*bazinga*

ISK-sink! Taking ISK out of TQ is a good thing. The next step was easy to come up with: Making ships explode.
Happily i was in the position of beeing wingmen of the fine gentleman 'Cannibal Kane'. While i didn´t tell him exactly why i was planning a training corp he was totaly up for it - getting more Somali Coast Guard personal is a good thing.

So here we are. BootCamp openend the doors on 01.05.13. First i was in worry that it would fail terrible - but after 1 day i was all calm and satisfied - it´s working out well so far.

Note:
This doesn´t go against our intention to 'form' the bloodthirsty into space-sharks until we offer them a place in the mothercorp.

Hereby i want to thank:
Cannibal Kane (for turning me into a mini-shark and beeing your wing-mate)
Culo Duro (for all the support and all the good laughs)
the 'important-to-EvE'-guy (who denied my question for anniversary-help)
all the public and hidden supporters
all former (and still up-to-today EvE-friends)
last (but not least) all the fine ladies and gentlemen who joined the BootCamp and dealing such a BLAST against the training targets! (without YOU the BootCamp couldn't happen!)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Thank you very much for enabling me to celebrate my 10th anniversary with all of EvE at this day!
(and while you did that: granting me the best I was ever involved in EvE as a gift!)

If you want to joint he celebration:
Eat a fine piece of meat today - I´ll get me a rib-eye tonight for Stone (sry Stone, i´ll upload a .jpg for you^^).

Cheers!

Good one Stone.

I know this was an idea you had for a long time now. Even when we first met, so happy to be part of it.

Reading through the mail I was almost expecting a o/ And thanks for all the ISK.

Heh. You should know better, Kane :P

I´m not scamming... and tried awoxing only a very single time (and found out it´s something not fitting to me).

BootCamp is purely not a scam - it's a WHAM!

Yesterday a fight happened (when I wasn´t around). After i returned from work and finished my 'family duty' i took a look at the kb.
Eye-rubbing. Another look. More eye-rubbing.

Oh, one of our senior member lost his vigilant - that´s why the isk-loss raised significantly. Meh.

After logging in and asking around what happened i got a pretty clear and straightforward answer:
Missunderstanding, missinterpretation and ofc - falling for a trap.

I still giggle a bit inside about those words of beeing afraid we (kane and me) beeing mad at them. Obviously we aren´t.
You´re here to learn - hard earned lessons are the best!

Needless to say that after the trap 80% of the caracal-fleet docked up and logged off (20% just docked up) while my booties started to hunt again - with great success (and the suspect control was strong in them!).

Never understood the fear of loss.

Loss is a good thing. Get you used to it so when you do loose something you jump back into another ship and go at it again.

Almost lost my Proteus this weekend to a trap but in the end it is all fun and games. That is all it should be.

So go forth Somalies and enjoy exploding ships and loosing your own.
