thats the point of a roam surely.

Small gangs in Nisuwa usually catch our attention and we -almost- always try to ship so it's a pretty fair fight. Keyword being almost there.

Late evening US TZ is your most likely time period for that, though.

Minmatar/amarr FW space is your best bet now


The area around Heyd used to be my roaming ground but its just russians and blobs now.

You will still get that occassionally. But you can find smaller gangs as well.

But- Non fw space will not be as active.

Now that the npcs in fw plexes have been nerfed (no more ewar or tons of spawns) the plexes offer small gangs great opportunities to find fights.

Novice plex allows any t1 frigate including navy an pirate.

Small plex allows everything in novice plus destroyers t2 frigates.

medium plex allows everything from small plexes and cruisers and all t2 cruisers but not bcs.

Large plexes have no gate so anything goes.

Syndicate and the low-sec area through Solitude seems to be fairly active.

What can be fun to do with small gangs is camp pipes in/out of places where fights are happening (use the map) and put up a bubble. Worst case whatever comes kills your bubble. Best case, you get a steady stream of stragglers coming and going from the fight.

In major engagements it can even be highly amusing to take a small gang right into the system and camp at zero on the star or planet 1 and pick off people who warped out of the fight.

Do check out Syndicate though. There are usually other small gangs about.

If you think Blackrise is full of shiney gangs, then I wouldn't try roaming through Syndicate. The residents there have their bubble camps, instalocks, and other things that can overwhelm a simple frig fleet.

Blackrise, Delve, Curse, Provi are all great places to roam

Solitary is what I call solo (1 ship).

A fire and maneuver team or fire-team is 2 - 3 ships.

As far as "small gang"? That's a squad of 7 - 13 ships and sometimes called wolf pack.

I prefer to call all of the above "small scale warfare" and I have no idea why you would ask where it is and where to find "good fights". You go out, roam and create the content and figure out if it was good or not after the engagement is done. I suppose you can prearrange something but why not join red versus blue or declare war in high security space?
