A few tips to make the user experience a little more streamlined:

  1. When buying stuff from the market, there should be a "fill her up" button next to the quantity field that will simply buy the maximum your cargo hold can hold.
  2. When buying stuff from the market there should be a "take the whole lot" button that will simply buy the whole amount for sale.
  3. When figuring out freight for a contract or for another player to haul, you have to do a lot of calculations to get the right volume. This would be simper if there was an 'expandable' box (station only) that you could just set an arbitary volume on. Then, you could just fit stuff in it until its full and you would have the right volum

I'm not sure what you're really talking about here.

I do market trading and alliance level logistics and I've never once found it to be a particularly onerous task, nor have I ever had to do any kind of volume calculations for any kind of a contracts. The inventory window shows you the volume of the items you have selected to put into a contract, and as for buying the correct amount for a given volume, a simple calculator is capable of doing that for you in about 2 seconds.

Am I missing something more complicated that you're not explaining well?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

your right - I'm simply trying to eliminate those 2 seconds. There's lots and lots of little 2 second things in EVE that could be eliminated with a little extra design.

Your ideas seem good to me.
