I posted this in the feature section but other lame posts keep bumping it down.

The only way to change that is if you park your orca right in the middle of all the miners, find a central spot that all the miners can sit at and reach all the roids, and they can just set a can there within your reach. Thats the only suggestion I got, and thats what I did when I was running 4 accounts, 3 hulks and an orca.

replace the useless capacitor link with a small tractor beam.

problem solved, you can let all of these useless threads die now.

QFT. Since one of the links is pretty much the very definition of useless, this really didn't warrant a thread, let alone multiple.

Déjà vu all over again

Q. Any hope of the Orca ever getting one or two utility high-slots added?

Once the gang links are in, there is no room for a tractorbeam or two, and that really is a crime. An extra mid-slot for a scanner would be nice too, as a reasonably tanked Orca needs all the current slots.

FYI, the capacitor link is very useful when mining Arkonor, as the T2 crystals have a high capacitor consumption.

with perfect rorqual bonuses, and no capacitor link, a hulk sits at 53% cap stable with 3x strips running arkonor crystals and 2x invulns running.

it's really the most useless link i've ever seen.

edit: the same setup with my sub par capacitor skills, that aren't even all at V sits at 44% stable with that setup.

Cap stability has little to do with it. The problem is the activation. You have to stagger your mining lasers = PITA, plus if you have an active tank (common in nulsec), all the rest of your capacitor goes to keeping that active.

considering the active tank is the issue, you'd be better off using the shield link that reduces capacitor for shield modules, whatever it's called, i'll wager.

I don't see what's wrong with just trundling over to the orca and throwing ore in between cycles every so often.

Otherwise, I sold my hulk and just use a mackinaw now. There's not much yield difference, so I can just unload big splodges into the ore bay at once.

Which is the proper place to to post your idea. This forum section is not. Besides the forum rules state:

16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.
