Love this idea; the removal of the bimonthly chronicles really took away some of the eve lore, this could add it back.

+1 What if difficulty of the pirate ship killed affected the rarity of logs dropped. i.e. Give an officer a small chance of dropping a log that pointed to a nice complex.

It tasted ok at first, but after I swallowed a whole cupful my stomache rebelled and threw it all back up. I don't think anyone will notice my breakfast floating in there, and if they do, I'll be long gone to our Sota outpost."

Great idea! I am just getting into exploration and would love to see something like this.

This is an awful, terrible idea. It will break the game and you should stop posting.

...no, not really. This is a truly great idea and it would be an amazing addition to exploration. This needs to happen, and it needs to happen right now. Or in Odyssey 1.3 maybe.

+1 I support this.

I've been thinking about ways to make exploration better and this was one of my thoughts. Didn't realize it was actually used to be an ingame thing. Awesome to finally learn about, but also bummed I wasn't around exploring when it was in game xD

Brilliant idea! Simple, clean and would probably take a dev 15 minutes and a cup of coffee to actually code for it. Get this in the game now! +1

+10 What an amazing idea!

Such a simple and incredibly fun mechanic! I could see a few guys who run missions 24/7 getting together, buying a log off the market, and trying out some combat exploration in lowsec/nullsec. Go go CCP

Bump from me too. EVE needs more in-game lore, storytelling and exploration gameplay diversity. Great idea.

Glad to see all the positive response. Perhaps ppl have made up their mind after seeing how little good Odyssey brought to exploration. I made similar thread a few weeks back and there was lot of "mimimi themepark" response in the mix.
