Make sure you have the courtesy to phone the pub in advance and warn them that there might be more than the usual locals showing up.

Nothing worse than standing at a bar for 20 mins before getting served Smile

Cloaking won't work, and I don't think we want to test our dps against the locals. So we can appoint a "bar camper" - problem solved.

is there an age limit?

Its a licensed venue so you need to be old enough to drink in the eyes of the law

DAMMIT im 17 and my birthday is the 12th

This reminds me of something I did when I was not quite legal age to drink.

It was a night out with people from work and I was worried about getting ID'd, the usual solution that people suggest is to not shave for a few days and let the stubble build up so it makes you look a bit older. I figured out a more interesting idea to use as well, I bought an 18th Birthday card with a large badge on (only 2" - 3" diameter, don't want it too big) and wore that. Obviously not everyone has ID on their birthday (especially since the main ones are passports and drivers license, which some people won't get). Didn't get ID'd once that night and even had a few people wishing me happy birthday and buying me drinks.

May not work every time but for the cost of a few quid it's worth a shot.

Nice. Its a pity they do everything in the northern hemisphere up there. Would be nice for them to use those millions or billions of dollars they get every year to come visit here in the southern hemisphere.

premier inn at ne1 3ae but parking is extra as it is limited. and the price can be had for £76 for room (and I think breakfast) parking is about £7

Chosen as this is within stumbling distance of the venue

I'll be going. I made it last year with all the flooding. So there really isn't any excuse not to come.

True, a 90 minute drive became 180 and I needed an aqualung to get there....

No tickets, just turn up and drink Big smile

I don't know if the place opens early or not if it was down stairs like last time its possible it could get packed rather quick, the bar area at least. even with the rained off attendance last year at its peak it was pretty packed in at the bar area Big smileBig smile

Not that I remember, but there is a Wetherspoons just down the road that do food all day I think...It seemed to be a gathering place while we waited for the venue to open as well.

Your memory is correct. The Mile castle on the other side of the road two minutes away. Then there's another spoons two minutes down from that. There's loads of other places in the vicinity to buy junk from and the subway and greggs next to the central station are open pretty much all night.

for the venue last year I don't even think they had crisps
