T3 Skills

Hey all


So, instead of the usual T3 skills not applying correctly, then logging out/in, and that fixing them, T3 subsystem skills now randomly stop working in the middle of a mission.

Flying my Tengu through a L4, with the Fuel Catalyst subsystem attached, and a RF 10MN AB, I should go about 610 m/s. Instead, my ship tops out at 451 m/s. Ok, I dock, leave ship, log out/in, and it's fixed. That's normal- shouldn't be, but it is.

I warp back into my mission, and bam, back to 610 m/s, and my weapon damage has almost doubled again.

I fly another 2 pockets in, ship still preforming to what it should. I'm orbiting a gate, All of a sudden, my speed just drops. From about 600m/s where I was orbiting, back down to 450ish. No webs, nothing on my overview except a Pith Conquistador(battleship). My damage also suddenly drops.

I hadn't logged out, and the skills had just suddenly stopped working.


I've left the ship, logged in/out about 5 times now, and it still won't go back to the values according to my skills.


Anyone else having this issue now? And be warned, you could be in the middle of a fight with a player, and your skills could suddenly stop working, leading you to lose the T3.

did you make sure you didn't accidentally load precision missiles?

This is what you get when you quit for a while, then come back. You make silly mistakes, and come with issues on the forums then someone takes 30 seconds, posts the answer, and makes you look like a complete moron.


Edit:

Hey look... Precision Heavies were loaded... swap back to Furies, and guess what? it's back to normal.

Don't punish yourself too hard, there aren't a ton of games where loading ammunition reduces your velocity.

Yea. That stupid side-effect is going away in the Winter expansion. Same for the Sig-Radius bloom for Furies.

and yes like above poster mentioned, come winter expansion, it appears the t2 missile drawbacks will be eradicated *crosses fingers*

Oh, I'm not being hard on myself... it was more one of those things where you feel like an idiot because the answer was so blatantly obvious, but I just forgot. haha.


Hopefully those penalties do disappear. By the time you can use Precisions in PvE, the decreased speed really doesn't make that much of a difference, and for PvP, it just makes HM ships more effective, and better able to defend themselves against small tackle.

I always take 300 Precisions in the cargo for enemy tacklers, or the mis understood elite frigate spawn 2km off my ass. Saved my ship before and I'm sure they will save it again ;)
