Ma, where's the fog gone?

I have no idea where to post this, so please move this if it is in the wrong sub forum.

Since the last patch/update, the horrible station fog has simply disappeared.

This fog appeared for me whichever faction station I was in.

Was this an intended feature of the patch/update, or has the patch accidently somehow or other cleaned up my computer and removed the fog which should never have been there in the first place?
