Why play EVE?

Why should people play EVE? There are so many games out that are way more fun. What is fun about shooting at red boxes in space? New people cannot join the game and compete with anyone and are often left to mine and quit 14 days later. A single person cannot become great anymore. A person cannot create a alliance and go to null and be successful because the Russians will crush any hopes and dreams. The population is down to 20k in US prime time. New ships and some changes is not going to bring back 30k people. Whats the point anymore?

Inside two months I was successfully tackling 6+ year old players and getting them killed.


There are other parts to the game other than SOV null sec.

I for one am having a blast.

That's news to me. All it takes is some common sense, wit, diplomatic sklli, lots of time and effort (all of which I personally don't have/don't want to invest).

Obviously, 'I recruit 100 nubs in highsec and go kill teh russian' will not work.

i renew in hopes that someday ccp will create a PVE server for those of us who actually do enjoy mining while watching tv.

if i wanted pvp i'd talk to my wife. Shocked
