Moros HUGE DPS INCREASE!!!!

I'd like to know the overall dps increase the moros gets with the new 5% ROF bonus + 5% dmg per level. I'm guessing the values will be around super cap dps level. CCP, nerf it before it hits SISI!!!!

It's only blobbing when you lose, otherwise it's good fleet comp.

Um.... you do know that that change was to offset the loss of all drones (which were a significant part of Moros's DPS) right ?

As someone whos been a Moros pilot pretty much since they were put in game, I actually hate the changes. Ive always been willing to accept that moros was handicapped on its "primary' weapons system (failbrids), because of the knowledge that with its drone bay and bonuses the moros had its niche as the only dread that could really be effective against sub caps. Now that niche is going away. Oh yay... we get a buff to a weapons system that still sucks, in exchange for completely removing the only weapons system we had that actually worked like it was supposed to. Anyone know where I can buy some confetti to celebrate ?

Personally, I look forward to this boost. I just fear the cap issues that will be caused by it.

I think someone calculated the new DPS with antimatter and all lvl 5 skill to somewhere around +10k dps

Looking at only turret damage:

Old Turret Damage Bonus = 1 + Gallente Dreadnought * 5% Damage

Gallente Dreadnought 1: 105%
Gallente Dreadnought 2: 110%
Gallente Dreadnought 3: 115%
Gallente Dreadnought 4: 120%
Gallente Dreadnought 5: 125%

New Turret Damage Bonus = (1 + Gallente Dreadnought * 5% Damage) / (1 - Gallente Dreadnought * 5% RoF)

Gallente Dreadnought 1: 110%
Gallente Dreadnought 2: 122%
Gallente Dreadnought 3: 135%
Gallente Dreadnought 4: 150%
Gallente Dreadnought 5: 167%

Assuming there is both a damage and rate of fire bonus.

Maths are fine and good, but isn't it getting the RoF bonus on top of the damage bonus (and instead of the drone bonus)? Which would give it 5 effective turrets ((3 * 5 * 4)/(4 * 3)) at max skills (which is multiplied by 8.4 with SMII).

Whether that's a reasonable amount of damage -- meh. I suspect it is. But that appears to give 5/42 effective turrets out of siege/in siege.

The formula is only for turrets as I don't know how to easily add drone damage to the old turrets. Drone damage depends on different skills and the drones used, so that would have to be converted into equivalent turret damage.

Bit over 10k when accounting for Navy Mag. stabs, gunnery implants and the siege module buff (10,663 if I'm recalling correctly what my old fit used to put out...)

The 42% dmg increase if by far superior the dps you could get with 5 sentry out, right?

hell yes... crazy dps with blasters now... need to buy faction tracking comps so i can do 11k dps out to 70 km... and with 5 min siege mode or even better tech II siege mod that gives 800% damage boost... so 11k just went even higherPirate
