One of the things I like about the Night Crew is there are no visions of grandeur. We're just a bunch of people that get together to hang out, and just do "stuff" together. No politics, no drama, no bs just a bunch of veterans and relatively new players enjoying themselves.

And being in a wormhole "stuff" tends to change each day!

(As taken from my original post in the original thread at the start of the year, as it still holds true today.)

Hands down, the guys I fly with in The Night Crew have kept me engrossed in the game. If it weren't for our close-knit brotherhood atmosphere I'm not sure I'd even be all that attatched to the game. It doesn't matter if you fly with PVP Savants, Industrial Geniuses or PVE Know-It-Alls; if there's a lack of community amongst the people you fly with; you're doomed to eventually have disinterest.

I've played EVE off and on for many years, since 2004. I've always had a hard time really getting into a corp that had a solid community atmosphere, and most of my time was spent just operating in my own corps and bringing in friends and empire-based people just to have banter.

Over a year ago, I signed back up after one of many hiatus, got some friends involved and went at it all again; and then I had this tinge that I wanted to start going into the 'frontier' of wormholes. I'd been in empire, I'd gone out to 0.0 and been in a pirate corp; and ultimately it just wasn't interesting. I needed something that was entirely different from what I had normally been doing in EVE; Wormholes was just what I needed. It's a constant unknown everytime you log in. You could have four wormholes opening up to yours, you could have a small gang of peeping toms sitting in recons just waiting to bring the noise upon your skull. It was the thought of something cruel and dark being upon me without knowing it that made wormhole life all the more interesting.

So I hit the recruitment channel ingame, and started throwing my own advertisement up; looking for recruits looking to dive into wormhole life and all it entails.

What did I get? A chat conversation invite by TNT 1. Intrigued, I jumped in and we had a talk. He gave me a thorough run-down on what The Night Crew and wormholes were all about, and I then spent three months training all the appropriate skills(scanning/astrometrics, shield/missile skills and caldari ships). I also explained to T, that despite having operated my own smaller corps and 'guilds' in other games, I really did'nt want any responsibility or role in The Night Crew. I just wanted the ability to log on, play with a great group of people and do whatever was on the agenda for the evening.

Getting into that first wormhole and making all the jumps to The Night Crew's primary base of operations ignited that spark, it was as if I had just started playing EVE. From there, things just kept getting better. People were held accountable for what they did or did'nt do, drama was next to non-existent, and everything just worked. Everyone was more than willing to share what they knew, in order to make every link in the chain as strong as possible and to solidify the bond between new and old player. I found myself maxing skills and flying ships that I never imagined I'd even want to fly, or even be able to afford.

Over the course of a year we opened and closed many wormholes, by expansion, conquest or defeat; but ultimately we still held firm together. Sure, people have come and gone; but rarely ever on bad terms; and those who have left on bad terms are remembered just as readily as those who've taken their hiatus to Real Life(TM). All of us were done a great service by T, who always did his best to surround us with like-minded players, people willing to learn and to teach. If it weren't for this approach of "Quality above Quantity", the atmosphere and the corporation would'nt be anywhere near as awesome as it is.

So here I sit, over a year from joining The Night Crew, the guy who never wanted any role of importance; sitting in the seat of CEO; and I say again, the community is the only deciding factor of whether you're going to have a good time in EVE. The brotherhood we have amongst us is strong; the members are capable and willing to learn, the Directors are fair and understanding. Top to bottom, thick and thin; if it weren't for the guys I fly with on a nightly basis I'd have shelved EVE yet again and not thought too much about it.

The Night Crew, may the years to come be as good to us as the years that have passed.
(With exception to the 'Best, Worst Idea Ever'...but thats a story for another time.)

Aside from our primary existence in WH's, we're actively recruiting for our empire division aswell.

The empire division's only requirements are that of the core of TNC: You never partake in piracy, you don't exploit or extort others, and you always honor your word.(And of course no smack talk). Our TS server is openly available to all members of The Night Crew Alliance, whether in empire or WH.

Those who live in empire(either for their current stasis to eventually come into the WH, or our WH'ers going to empire for a break) are always up for playing together; whether that be mining, exploration, missioning for Standing/ LPs; or PVP roams through low-sec, null or WH diving.

We're recruiting all timezones, expecially US and EU; all others are welcome, but you MUST speak and understand english(Atleast to the extent that we manage to spit it out).

Please join us in our recruitment channel, and feel free to hang out and talk to any TNCA members there for information. We want to get to know all of our possible new members, so don't just sit there idle or not partake of conversation, and don't be let down if at times there aren't people in the channel from TNCA, we can't be there all the time.

We expect loyalty and respect; and if it's given, it's returned in spades.

Last time we had recruitment open, I made a pretty heartwarming post about how we are less about eve, and more about a community.

That hasn't changed, we seem all like mindless drones all saying the same thing "Great guys, awesome community, it's them that makes the game.. blah blah blah.."
Yeah, that is all true.

We got a few people who've posted about the stupid silly amount of isk we make for the amount of work we do.
Yeah, that is also quite true.

PVP? **** happens, always fun, and always some good story to come of it.

We do everything. You don't join TNC, you join us. WE do everything.
And as such, we try to be discerning about who we actually let in, so you know, we can actually get along with each other. We also need to be able to ensure you can participate ounce you are flying with us, and as such, we don't require (X)/(ty^3)*5 Million Skillpoints, we require specific skills. I think those skills add up to about 5mil. There is another list after you get into the hole as well. But even that one is not very long. Mainly "Can you fit a ship properly? Yes? Good, shut the **** up, Next!"

I sat on the Empire side of this corp for about 9 months. The things we did in empire were fun, but when i finally joined up into the wormhole side, it blew my mind.

so uhh, The Night Crew is Super!
We even used to have a cheerleader!

Hard to know what say without just repeating the same things everyone else is saying in this thread.
Just a great community that makes you want to log in just to hang out.

Great place to learn, not just about wormholes but pretty much all aspects of the game.
And we have an active empire division too

It might be too early in the morning in the US (2:03AM Eastern) but I'm sitting in your recruitment channel right now.

I'm a fairly new player still. 10mil SP and my toon was created in Feb of 2012. My skills have mostly been specialized for incursions (my last corp directed me that way) and my first corp (that was a pirate corp) directed me towards tackling, so I also have those for PvP.

I've been doing nothing but run incursions for MONTHS. It's a great money maker, but it's really getting old and I'd like to explore more aspects of the game. I have been looking into WH exploration and it sounds like the playground I've been looking for!

However; as I said before, I'm still fairly new to the game and don't understand a lot of the mechanics (especially PvP).
As much as I am looking for a corp to venture into WH space with, I'm also looking for a group that understands and accepts that I don't know a lot about the game - but - I am ready and willing (and exited) to learn as much as I can!

Spots are filling up fast, but there is still plenty of room.

Come hang out in our recruitment channel and chat us up.
Talk to us and get to know us, and you'll see for yourselves that we're not just BS'ing when we brag about our community.
Don't be shy now

If your new to the game, we can train you. If you're a longtime vet who has grown tired of Alliance politics, we provide a great atmosphere to just enjoy playing the game with other laid back people and not worry about anything other then having fun playing it.

All members of The Crew are valued members of the community. We're not looking for numbers, we're looking for people.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -

Question:
What is the minimum skill points a player must have to join The Night Crew?

Answer:
We are looking for 10 million+ skill point players. But if your reading this and your under 10 million, even if you only have a 3 million, your welcome to apply as long as you don't mind being in empire, running missions with other members. We just can't bring you into one of our wormhole operations until your decently skilled. Some of the things you will get out of our corp being a newer player is help on how to fit your ships, help from seasoned veterans, and grouping with other mission runners who live in empire.

Having only been part of The Night Crew for a month and a half, I can honestly say I could not be happier with my choice for application. This is a great group of guys who have been around the game for a significant amount of time, and have been able to use that experience and knowledge to help me grow as a person and a player.

The Crew has helped me expand beyond my newbie Carebear into a scanning machine, able to pintpoint which moon to find that elusive POS at. I have gotten past my fears of entering Low and Null security spaces, knowing how to use DScan and other tools to assess the risk of the situation and make the best decision to survive. I had never been into a wormhole prior to joining The Crew, and now I get to excitedly point out in teamspeak that I've landed myself in a c3 through a wandering highsec hole, or even the rarity that was my first wormhole find - a highsec to highsec - that allowed me to experience the jump through without the risk of getting popped. I even got to join The Crew themselves for a t1 frigate tournament!!

When you see The Night Crew telling of the community it has grown I can tell you it is no lie. If you are looking for a great group of mature and intelligent people to enjoy your time in EVE with you need look no further, apply today!

We are still looking for new members to welcome into The Night Crew.

We're always looking for new blood to add to the brotherhood, we've got a great group of guys and we're always glad to teach new members "The Way".

It doesn't matter if you've only ever been in empire, have never touched Wormhole space nor ventured lower than 0.5 space; so long as you're willing to learn and adjust to how we do things; we'll welcome you with open arms.

...and we'll then beat the Hi-sec Heathen out of you and you'll really enjoy what Wormhole life offers. =p

The Night Crew is always looking for those who want to explore all that EVE has to offer. Even if you have never ventured out of High Security space, if you have the desire to learn how to navigate the depths of space you will find yourself welcome here.

Every corporation has a culture. I've found it's a balancing act of a lot of personalities. The Night Crew has such a strong sense of community I can see why it's been around for all these years.

It's about working together for a common goal, and having fun at the same time. I can guarantee in TNC you will never stop learning!

Recently joined TNC's Empire Corp and would like to give potential applicants my first impressions.

I think joining a corp in EVE is very similar to starting a new job or joining an organization in RL(hope EVE never feels like a job to anyone). This is from my perspective and honest opinion.

I remember my first day(s) with a new company at multiple jobs. You're a little nervous and excited(depends on your job), you hope there are cool people that you can become friends with, but most important(to me) , you hope there's a great corporate culture.

After joining TNC, I felt at home right away and knew I had made the right decision. Everyone I've met so far has been extremely friendly and fun to fly with. There's a good mix of very experienced(knowledgeable) players and noobs like myself but attitudes are not present and definitely no elitism.

I have joined different types of guilds in the past 15 years playing MMOs from total noob guilds to worldwide top tier guilds and there was always a recurring theme. Some members are friendly right away, others took time to warm up to you, and some could care less about you because you're not apart of their "clique" within the guild. TNC is very unique because it doesn't feel cliquish and everyone genuinely gets along and makes you feel part of the family right away.

This is not a schpeel, just some observations from my short time with the corp. I may be in the puppy love phase but feel I am a good judge of character(even over the internet) and I don't foresee anything changing from my first impressions of the corp.

So if you are sociable, friendly, have a good attitude and want a corp that you can be yourself in contact us NOW, you WON'T regret it! Just know that you will be held to higher standards than what you're probably used to but if you're not afraid to have fun in a supportive environment than you will fit right in. Hope to fly with you soon!

The Night Crew has been around for over 8 years, quote below is my opinion on why:

Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

Hanging out with friends, running sites, happening upon some pvp. Some nights I will just log on to find everyone at the POS shooting the ****. It truly is a sense of community. Wouldn't still be playing Eve without it!
